The sound of my horse grazing on grass.
Red winged blackirds
Robins chirping when spring arrives
casting lures and reeling in fishing poles

Thought I'd exhume this recently deceased thread with a couple more favourites.

Steve Reich's "Six Marimbas", parts 1 & 2.
Quite apart from the great noise made by a marimba, this piece manages to include the complex, shifting rhythms of machinery and the hum of distant church bells.

Mozart on a Glass Harmonica - this piece was written specifically for it.
A really nice 'dusty' ringing noise.

The sound of a cat purring.

Thunder.

The sound the razor makes while I'm shaving.

My favorite sound is rather weird so you might not know what I’m talking about… anyway
In the computer game Harry Potter and the philosopher’s stone you have to, at some point, collect fire seeds (I think that’s what they are called) and when you pick them up there’s this weird indescribable sound that echoes slightly in the cave.
I bloody love that sound!!

i love the "thlup thlup" sound of stop tabs being depressed on organs, especially on hammond chord organs. and in a pipe organ, i love the "thump!" sound of stops/pistons being engaged.

I like it when people call on the phone and make sound effects of things they are hearing...like saying it is windy and then make the sound ... whoooosh

just love it and makes me laugh .. I want them to repeat it over and over

My friend used to do her nan's voice on the phone. Aww loved her nan too and sad when she died but never met her.

The varied sounds of night insects in late summer.

The overwhelming sound of a large pipe organ in an extremely reverberant space like a large cathedral.

A cat purring.

Church bells.

A vocal group or choir of any kind singing a cappella and in tune enough to produce that incredible "ringing" sensation. The only thing better is actually being in it singing. Serious goosebumps!

Listen to the last chord. They're singing soft, and the camera couldn't even handle it!

Some sounds I like are rhythmic sloshing sounds like the dishwasher or a washing machine. I also like windshield wipers. I find these sounds comforting.

There's nothing on Earth like it! (did you see my earlier Widor post?)

That was beautiful, and immediately goes into my "keepers" list.

I love the sound of trains in the distance at one in the morning. :D Right next to a train I feel like I'm going to die, but there's a major rail line a mile or two to the west of here, and you can hear them every night.

Yes I listened to the Widor, that was incredible. Those old French cathedral organs have such a wonderfully bright tutti, and the Contre Bombardes are seriously thunderous!
