Very much introverted. I don't socialize, generally speaking. I do OK one-on-one, but my discomfort increases exponentially with the number of people present.

I'm not proud of it, but I'm not particularly shameful, either. I'm a private person, so AS is just one of the things I prefer to keep to myself. 2 people, other than the psychologist who diagnosed me, know. I waffle on whether or not I'd prefer to be "normal." I see others interacting, relaxed, natural, and I get a little jealous. But then I also see the negative aspects of relationships, and realize I could do without them.

I cycle through different interests, some stronger than others. I have a few that have been pretty consistent for a long time.

If I can pre-plan/rehearse responses, then I can express myself OK. Otherwise my brain just floods with observations, analyses, possible responses, concern over reception, what to do if misunderstood, etc. As I said before, I'm better when it's one-on-one interactions. I'm worst over the phone. I'm most comfortable expressing myself in writing.

Yes - I am the type of Aspie who hates having AS. This is because I am too aware of the NT world and too involved in too many NTs, and I grew up in a big family full of NTs and I went to mainstream school - which is why it's very hard to love having AS. It makes me realise more how socially challenged I am. If I had grew up with Autistic siblings, or an Autistic parent, or Autistic cousins, and went to a special school with other children with various disabilities (including Autism), then I don't think I would have minded so much, since I could see how challenged others are and not feel so alone. But since I am so misunderstood and often laughed at, it makes life so hard for me. When I was a teenager still at school, I never shaved my legs because nobody ever told me that girls legs must be shaved, and I didn't seem to pick it up anywhere, and so I used to do PE showing bare unshaved legs, and one day I caught other girls commenting on my legs, and from then on I learnt a lesson that girls must shave legs from the day they start growing hairs on the legs, to the day they die. I've also learnt that boys get off scot-free with everything, like they don't need to shave, (if they don't shave their face it's still not a big deal). OK, I'll stop lamenting now.

I am the extrovert sociable aspie.

I am the one who is proud of having AS, who overcome a lot of the problems it caused and used it to shape her. I see pride in asperger's as the same as having pride in your race, to me being aspie is the same as being white, it's how I am born and who I am.

I am the aspie who has lots of obsessions.

I am the aspie who finds it awkward to express herself - I often worry about giving TMI as I'm open and prefer others to know what I'm feeling, but recently I've been told I don't express my personality or feelings well enough for others to understand who I am or how I feel.

So by the by please say What Type Of Aspie Are You!? :P

Pretty introverted in person; a bit more extroverted online.
I'm in the middle. AS makes some things hard, but I value my intellect that seems to be a product of it.
I can get obsessed with things.
I find it very awkward to express myself verbally; easier in writing. Still can't express my emotions in the most proper/appropriate way, though.

So, basically the first options for every question.
