i really don't like people, so gyms are usually not my cup of tea.

i have a weight set at home. can do push ups and sit ups there as well.

as for running, just go outside.

though i have been slacking on the exercise front.

I don't know anybody who loves gym. The only guy and girls who like gym time is for flirting. I like sport a lot but I hate gym. I prefer sport with contact, I don't feel pain so I can be much more intense, which I think help me being better in those sport. But doing the same useless movement over and over, I just can't support it! I need to fill my mind with more than repetition

PE was always my most hated class. Even math didn't suck as bad and I hated math. I hated sports and I was always the last picked.

Add to that that we were expected to run a mile in under 13 (or was it 15?) minutes, and....yeah. 8O

If you had gym the first semester during a class slot, you had "health" during the second of that same year, and vice versa,
so we also had to stand on the scale while the coach (he was a pervert, btw!) recorded our weights,
and then we had to calculate how many calories we should be consuming a day to be at our "ideal" weight-
mine was like -3000. Guess some idiot didn't put a floor in that equation.

We have health 1 quarter and music appreciation the other semester.
Our PE teacher recorded our weights once until one parent threated to sue the district.

I could skip Gym until High School because I was always two years younger than all my classmytes. When I finally had to participate, I had always trouble when we were supposed to make groups for an exercise. There was always someone left, and whenever it was me, the teacher made a big fuss about it.
I was really bad at soccer, because I never knew where my teammates were. I also never understood the rules.

I always hated gym when I was in school. Although I had legs like tree trunks and could run like the wind, I never understood the social interactions between boys, especially the macho crap and the cruel things they used to do to one another for "fun". I related to the maturity and sensitivity of adults and girls, so all my friends were adults and girls.

And back then, nobody even knew what AS was. I was just "different", which didn't help at all with socialization.

Good question.
