Think how unpleasant the Schizoid forums must be, and be glad

I used to belong to one, they were mostly pleasant, and mainly talked about books.

Now a forum for NPD folks, whooo boy...

I didn't think there was such thing, given that Schizoid personality disorder is generally portrayed as being completely asocial :)

Maybe they were all misdiagnosed aspies then, I've no idea.

Autism comes from "autos", which means "self."
What else would you expect?

Autism only means "self" because it's a left-over term from back when we thought it was a kind of schizophrenia. It's a symptom that describes someone who's closed off from the outside world, either socially or in terms of attention and curiosity, or both. Schizophrenia can create that kind of separation, and so can autism; but there's not much similar beyond that.

Was joking. Countering ridiculous statement with another one.

I think it best that those who do engage in put downs and group speak together from being online together, thus effectively becoming and behaving like a gang from familiarity, should decide for themselves.

We are all prone to it, even me at times. Thats why I avoid familiarity with most people. groups can easily become gangs

When I frequented the underground music scene 30 yrs ago, I made an observation about counter culture groups, namely that their efforts to be 'different' are only superficial. Where I expected to find egalitarianism, something completely welcoming and inclusive, I instead found cliques and stratifications as tediously obnoxious as anything society at large concocts. "The microcosm mimics the macrocosm" is what I'd mutter whenever I'd experience such disappointment. C'est la vie.

I assume I am the ring leader. I am romantically attached to the idea of collectivism, even if my neurology seems patently unsuited to it.

there is no humanity in the first place. We are all a bunch of dumb animals eating each other at the root of it all to be honest.

Lemme tell ya'll a little story

i was once part of a far left wing forum for communists, we all agreed on some pretty basic things, the eliminations of surplus value, the libertarian of the working class, direct democracy, to an outsider we would have all appeared identicle in belief, so people must have wondered what in the world did we ever debate about if we agreed with eachother?
Oh well we found a way - to such an extant that each clique was had about 15 people in a forum far larger then this one, and it ended with me and a dozen others getting banned, an admin coup, a change in leadership and the eventual rise of a more democratic forum then before after the toppling of a tyrant, I kind of got swept under the rug as a troublemaker on trumped up charges during the drama.

I have yet to be in another forum that differed even slightly from that basic cookie cutter of drama.

Except the quite small ones, I'm on another political forum where it's just about 20 active posters and it's completely different, if this forum is a big unfeeling city, then the small ones are homey inn's, the problem with having a big forum is that if you disagree with a group you can say stupid things and probably not have to pay for it since no one will notice and you'll be forgotten, if you insult someone on a forum with a tighly knit group of active people then you will be noticed and your reputation will go down, but on this forum I can go to the PPR section, call someone a prick and get away with it and it'll be forgotten, just like I was forgotten on that commie site in all the drama, like a dissident quietly taken out during the night to be executed.

We didn't build the monolith. If anything, the monolith built us.
