No. I don't like cold weather but I do like cool summers, like San Francisco summers where it is cool and foggy. Cold is still preferable to hot though since I can always put on more clothes. In hot weather, there is only so much clothing I can remove in public before I get arrested...

Yeah I tend to prefer cold weather too. I never got why so many people think hot weather is "lovely". I think it's horrible.

People from the UK don't know what real "hot weather" is. You don't get the tropical airmasses in the summer like we do. Living on the east coast or in the south with no AC in summer will make you want to shoot yourself. It's like having your body enveloped in a warm wet washcloth for weeks on end.

Yep, when it's 30C we call it a "heatwave", but when I've been abroad it's been over 40C on a normal summer day - 30C was considered cool!

35C (95F) or higher is necessary to be a true heat wave as 30C (86F) is just a typical hot summer afternoon for most places.

To me 30C (86F) is not so bad until you add tropical humidity to the mix. When it stays above 25C (77F) the whole night it gets kind of nasty with no AC.
