How accurate is this test? Is it really better than the others?
It seemed like the questions were "more accurate", but considering how high everyone's score is, I'm not sure how accurate the scoring algorithm is(As I really doubt 90+ % of people on here have aspergers).
I don't got it and I got a 5, I'd say that it is pretty accurate. Also people who self report results from an online test like this is not a fair sample of the forums visitors, I'd assume that it is mostly those who got aspergers and those who suspects that they got aspergers who do these tests.
Thanks. I'm putting this thread on a few other sites online (Like "shyness" and "social anxiety" forums.) with neurotypicals and I'm going to see if neurotypicals score much less on average. I want to make sure I'm not misleading people with the "It's the best AS test I've seen!" claim, as it might not be.
That's a good idea. I'd be interested to see what they score. But I'm not surprised if 90% of the people who take the test in this forum are on the spectrum. It is an AS/autism forum after all.
That's true, but I'd imagine there are a lot of people here because they have a high score on the AQ test and that has a high false positive false rate in the "moderate score range(30-40), and so you would think that there would be a lot less people getting lower scores if this were a "better test". But, I could be wrong.
Anyways, my thread is 6 down on the forum list in the social anxiety forum, and there has been only one view - mine.
Maybe the thread needs a better title than ...
"The new AS test - (A possible cause of SAD)"
What would interest neurotypicals? Assuming we would want to use pathos, maybe we could use fear?
"Do you have an ASD and SAD? Take the AS test"
"Do people dislike you because of AS? Take the AS test"
However, I'd probably want to reword that to sound less commercial-ly.
