It seemed like the questions were "more accurate", but considering how high everyone's score is, I'm not sure how accurate the scoring algorithm is(As I really doubt 90+ % of people on here have aspergers). :?

I don't got it and I got a 5, I'd say that it is pretty accurate. Also people who self report results from an online test like this is not a fair sample of the forums visitors, I'd assume that it is mostly those who got aspergers and those who suspects that they got aspergers who do these tests.

69/72.

If that means I have a 95.8% chance of having AS, I'd say this test is one of the better ones.

Thanks. I'm putting this thread on a few other sites online (Like "shyness" and "social anxiety" forums.) with neurotypicals and I'm going to see if neurotypicals score much less on average. I want to make sure I'm not misleading people with the "It's the best AS test I've seen!" claim, as it might not be.

That's a good idea. I'd be interested to see what they score. But I'm not surprised if 90% of the people who take the test in this forum are on the spectrum. It is an AS/autism forum after all.

That's true, but I'd imagine there are a lot of people here because they have a high score on the AQ test and that has a high false positive false rate in the "moderate score range(30-40), and so you would think that there would be a lot less people getting lower scores if this were a "better test". But, I could be wrong.

Anyways, my thread is 6 down on the forum list in the social anxiety forum, and there has been only one view - mine.

Maybe the thread needs a better title than ...

"The new AS test - (A possible cause of SAD)"

What would interest neurotypicals? Assuming we would want to use pathos, maybe we could use fear?

"Do you have an ASD and SAD? Take the AS test"

"Do people dislike you because of AS? Take the AS test"

However, I'd probably want to reword that to sound less commercial-ly.

I've posted a question (under the same name, 'Twirlip') about my pattern of test results (page 1 of this thread), over on page 2 of the relevant thread at Spectrumites:

Facebook AS Test App

It might be of interest to others who, like myself, seem "Aspie-like", but don't score on any of the "sensory" stuff (or perhaps that should be "sensorimotor" - I don't know the jargon), which seems characteristic of autism. (Isn't it?)

Almost certainly not Aspie, but certainly something like it

My NT brother got 1/72. I got 70/72, lol. We thought there would be a difference, but not *that* much.

Your AS Test score is 67 out of 72.
It is quite likely that you are on the autistic spectrum.

Huh. Did the author do anything to test the test, or is this just an OKCupid-level kind of thing? IIRC, rdos did try to validate and adjust his test.

Nice test. Not a detailed as I'd like it to be.
But still no questions about preferring theaters over museums.

It appears he didn't do anything to "test the test". However, I will be drawing a scatter plot of the scores against other known scores to see if there's a significant relationship; I'm highly suspecting there's going to be a "ceiling affect" for many testers, and that "ceiling" might be quite low.

Anyways, my mother got a 24 and her AQ score was 7 and she's definitely a neurotypical.

By the way, how do I know if people get bored easily when I talk about my interests? The other questions were okay, I guess.

I would like to see what NTs get on this test. Swbluto, it would be nice if you could post the links to the other threads you've made on this one. I am really curious now.

I got a 71 out of 72 which seems a bit extreme to me.

Some of the questions looked very interesting, especially about the cross sensory issues and cross associaions near the end, but I think that 150 question test with the 12 page results is probably more valid.

70/72 for me - the only thing I really scored "no" on were the questions that related to synesthesia (sp?), etc.
