People who currently have a PDD diagnosis will have an ASD diagnosis under the new DSM, is my understanding.

For those who have difficulties and haven't yet been diagnosed but don't meet the ASD criteria, there is at least one other diagnosis relating to social impairment that they may fit.

What will that be?

I have forgotten the name. It's something like "Social Disorder" or "Social Impairment" or some such thing. It's strictly about social impairments, though, and not actually listed as part of the autistic spectrum.

I think the intent for these criteria is that anyone who is autistic should be diagnosable as autistic, though.
