Depends. I only ever miss people when I know they're out of my life for sure. Even then, the few that have gone, well, I either don't much care about or dislike.

i dont miss people, with the exception of my brother and nieces, and i dont miss them much, maybe because i see them once a week and email them all the time, my nieces, that's it.
the only person i've ever missed is my brother. he's two and a half years older than me. as children, we were very close and i followed him everywhere, including to football games that i hated. i suspect he's mildy aspie, because he was about twelve or something when he stopped talking to me and our parents and withdrew from everyone. he'd still see his friends, but barely said a word to them, and it stayed this way till now, when he's almost fifty.
that hurts, and when i see him sometimes i feel a little pang, but that's it. i didnt even miss my parents when i was aboard and didnt see them for years, then again, we never got along.
i find myself missing places, jobs, sounds and smell, not people.
i missed my cat horribly when she died, for a very long time, with a horrible hollow feeling. maybe it's people that i cant miss.
