The thing about flirting is, even if I see something for the flirting it is, I still doubt she's serious. And I also don't want to go "all-the-way" with someone I only met that night! And I'm a guy. Maybe if I was very drunk I would have responded by patting her on the back / some other small-time touch... and praying she doesn't kick me in the privates. That's about as far as I'll go with a stranger in a bar flirting with me (or touching me first.) Even if she does want to have sex with me, she'll likely be glad she didn't the next morning! 8)

Not sure if this should be in the dating section of WP.

My own experience is that I wasted valuable time in clubs and bars in my 20s. You neither meet people who friends or life partners in such places. I made the critical mistake a hormonally charged male makes that a girl in a bar could be the future Mrs cyberdad.

Big mistake.

Also, don't know if this is just me, but if it is the sort of place with lots of lights and strobes and what not, I get spaced out and desensitized and cannot function properly. Not to mention the noise and the throngs of drunkards.
