Wow, I've always had cold extremities, and my nose gets cold easily too. I had no idea it was associated with AS... The more I read in these forums, the more I think I should go get DX'ed...

Does having low blood pressure have anything to do with AS / cold extremities? That's another thing I have... My latest reading was 100 / 64 and I'm a 27 year old smoker on anti-depressants... :?

My hands and feet get quite cold. This has been a big problem at times working outside in the winter. Squeezing my fingers as if I'm about to make a fist, but only moving my fingers about an inch instead of making the whole fist and then relaxing then repeating that helps me out a lot.

I also pay close attention to what I'm standing on. Wood is good and snow is OK, but bare ground, concrete, and metal all are pretty cold to stand on. On the cold floor, I curl my feet so that I'm walking on my tippy toes and my heels.

My jaw gets cold, too and I slur my words and can't talk as fast.

My nose seems fine.

The only time my nose is warm is in the shower or really hot weather.
My feet and hands are almost as bad. Socks only help under another pair of socks with slippers over those. Although my feet sometimes feel like they''re on fire, particularily when I walk bare foot on fuzzy carpeting.
Geeze I thought THAT (cold hands and feet) was from low blood pressure. Maybe not.
My legs itch when its cold outside pretty often. Like REALLY itch. Can't think as clearly, I also slur my words and shiver like mad. I get sad, my shoulders even ache sometimes. Most of these things subside if I move briskly, except for the legs; that gets worse.
I have to cover the back of my neck when I sleep, occasionally the top of my head.
