It was either leave or firebomb the place.

I took the easy way out.

They wanted me to do P.E. (sensory issues with things like balls coming at me). Running, and sports. So I told them no...

They wanted me to join a after-school club... I told them no....

They wanted me to jump through hoops... I told them no...

So I dropped out due to irritation/no drive to continue. Everything seemed more about growing pains, prom, and being social rather than learning.

Yep... thats actually the only value I got out of highschool... I somewhat learned how to force myself to be social in situations where I needed to in order to accomplish something... Part of that came with not trying to do it the same way that everyone else did. Of course they still asked me if I was psycho, but at least they did so in a friendly way rather than picking on me and calling me names in teasing ways.

Was dropped by my HS. I had too many absent days so they told me I can come back next year and try again. I was being harassed by every student who needed an emotional punching bag, and also a few teachers. It was very traumatic for me.

My Mom got me enrolled in a homeschooling program, so I eventually graduated with a high school diploma.

quite disapointed that it was nothing like an Archie comic. or a funny teen movie. jk

But I was surprised by the professionalism of the students, I ignored them they ignored me. It's all good. It was as if EVERYONE had Autism, and existed with in their little space bubble. Granted this was before internet (I graduated in 95, THAT LONG? !?!? and internet just came out).

I guess the teachers really CRAMMED in this idea of grades credits grades credits similar to Japanese Liberalism. Ahhh Goo old 90's Liberal Party of Canada. *sniff miss you guys*, such a warm and cuddly state sponsored nerd paradise of security blanket acadmeia. I actually would do well during the 3/4 of the year but burn out critically, or poisoned with negative memories of the prior 9 years of BS? Sigh if only I took weight lifting after school, All that focus all that zeal.

I graduated high school. I thought I wasn't going to, though, because of absences due to medical problems. I wouldn't have graduated if I had gone to public school. I tried it for a while, but I had meltdowns in class and extreme anxiety all the time.

I dropped out after being too depressed &/or simply not believing in any of "it" anymore.
A school official convinced me to come back, and I did. Grades were awful but the school graduated me.
I went on to get myself into huge amounts of trouble, very quietly, and family made sure they pretended nothing was happening. ha.
glad those days are over.
