I am hyper senstitive
Sound worst (I have hyperacusis and pulsatile tinnitus)
Then smell - flowers, perfume etc
Then light
Taste - I don't eat veg nor drink alcohol because of the taste, but I don't really see taste as much of an issue for me because I eat and drink the things I like.
Touch - lesser issue or me, although I can struggle with proximity of other people. Not huggy either!

My worst sensory issue is taste.
It always has been my issue since childhood, and not exactly easy to fix. It's easily avoidable, and I'm still working on it.

Second would be hearing. During my up coming to my worst years, I've been intolerant to noises. But I got over that.
At this present, my issues are more on the side of processing the input than tolerating intensity.

Touch might be a third. It has less filters than hearing, and it's inconsistent sometimes. My major issue is the cold temperature. Then minor stuff so far -- not liking tags, not wearing tight clothing, no skirts, etc.

Smell might be next. Except, instead of sensitivity, I have a muffled sense of smell for so long, who knows what would have been if I don't have allergic rhinitis (I'd imagine good -- less sleep issues, even lesser brain fogs and headaches, of course, no disgusting stuff).
I rarely able to appreciate or dislike smell.

Sight is the least of my problems. I have no problems with lights, visual processing, and even the dark. My only problem here would be nearsightedness.

Sounds are definitely distressing to me. Voices especially. When one or two people's voices are entering my head, i have no trouble. But any more & I have to run. It drives me crazy. All the voices seem to merge into a loud cacophony of unintelligible noise.

If I were to lose a sense, sound would be it.

Sound is definitely the worst for me. Especially when caused by humans, like coughing, sniffling, sneezing, chewing, and so on. Also, when humans mindlessly (maybe I am being charitable when I say it is mindless) revving a motorbike engine or a car engine. Or revving the motor up and down, up and down, up and down...when using a leaf blower. People screwing up paper or plastic bags or wrappers drives me crazy, especially the ones who keep on and on endlessly fiddling with the wrapper. Applause at concerts or the theatre is awful for me, and is one of the main reasons I don't go to such events.

Next worst is smell. Many perfume smells make me want to retch, and walking past the perfume counter in a department store can be quite an ordeal. Likewise, "arts and crafts" stores with stinking candles and other smelly objects.

In fact, I think a common theme in many of my worst sensory issues is that they are triggered by all the unnecessary intrusions that other people make into my nearby environment.

Many sounds can cause outright trauma for me. Lights or excessive light I should say, is close behind that. Taste is a tough one too but I'm also very careful about what I eat and I have a very narrow palate of things that I eat on a regular basis. Sight is probably last for me but these are all narrow varying degrees and all senses are extremely acute when one is Autistic anyways.

Ah yes, sweet childhood memories of being forced into scratchy jumpers or shirts with itchy labels and seams.
Glad that's not an issue anymore!

For me, sound absolutely tops the list. Yeah, I don't like to be touched, and smells and light are both quite strong to me, but the sound is what will cause meltdowns. It's always been the case. I can't stand places like busy cafes and I certainly wouldn't be able to focus on a conversation in one. :?

I can't decide between sound and smell
