On the sexual side of life . . . I like the topic of erotic spanking. And I like themes of dominance and submission, more so written erotica than film.

And for years and years I felt very guilty about this, because it is directly contrary to many of my most important ethical beliefs. Now, I kind of think of it as ballast. For example, I can see workplace bullying as silly, as stupid and beside the point. If we're going to do S&M, we might as well do good S&M with the ping ponging communication, that kind of thing.

Spanking is considered kinky these days? It's a good thing we're not allowed to talk about sexual fetishes here, some people would be pretty shocked.

Maybe there's something archetypal about the workings of a vacuum cleaner that you just need in your life right now, something going on in your psyche, your unconscious, that it represents symbolically. Are you mentally in need of whirling things around in your mind or sucking things in really fast? :) Who knows? Maybe it's a need to stop and just take things in for a while.

That's a really interesting take on it. My username is Whirling Mind because that is how my brain feels, and it's the thing that also gives me sleep problems because my brain won't quiet down. But I don't want it to be like that. It's so easy to feel overloaded because of it.

Maybe the vacuum represents the need for removal of what's in my head! I don't know if I really subscribe to metaphorical meaning in that sense, but at least it distracts me for now.

:)

Btw, you might be interested to know that I own a Nilfisk-Advance Carpetwin 14. :D

heh.

i have a dyson key chain. and a dyson. i convinced my family they should all own dysons. i used to work at a store that sold dysons and i would sell dysons to those who shopped there. we had a dyson representative that would come in for trainings and demonstrations and those were the best days of work ever. he gave me a dyson t shirt once, but it was too rough to wear. dysons are fun vacuums because you can take their little parts apart and wash them and they just snap right back into place. ive lost track of where they are at now in terms of products because i am out of the business and they are too expensive for me, but i can see myself getting into them again one day. this DC14 isnt going to be around forever, you know? or will it???

p.s. i used to hum along to vacuums as a kid, they soothed me, seemed to make the world vanish so id definitely say it was a stimming thing for me. i met my twice roommate, three times coworker because i was draw to her humming. she has ocd or something (i never really asked) but she hums all the time in this toneless fashion (just like a vacuum).

thanks for this post, brought back good memories.

Last half year it´s strangely (among many other normal interests) the actor Ian Somerhalder. I don´t think anything good about that man, but strangely enough, he fascinates me somehow. Even if I think he is a bastard.
