I don't over anaylze s**t.

Normal people are so apathetic that they have no natural impulses to understand the world around them.

*chuckles* Ahh, but many people would say that many Aspies are apathetic, more so than NTs! (Too many manys in that sentance [Too many manys in this post!])

Perhaps the differentiation between "analyzing" and "over-analyzing" is that the latter is in danger of becoming overwhelmed in the details and perhaps missing the point to the exercise?

Just a thought.

I have a solution to that.

A highly annoying man starts talking to his date about tanning beds in a very loud voice.

/me whips out sawed off shotgun and blows a few rounds into the celings, and everyone runs screaming from the theater.

After everyone leaves, that should give you some peace.

I prefer to watch movies alone anyways. Anything to clear out the theatre, Prometheus.

I think I over analyze things.. but to me it doesn't seem like I do - I've never known any different.

People tell me I do it all the time.. when I think someone doens't like me, or make big issues out of small ones.

My folks have also told me that I tend to over-analyze. But I can't help but to. In most cases, anyway....

Happens to me all the time. Its probably the reason why I have a serious expression on my face all the time and why people always ask me if "everything is alright with me" or "why do I look so perplexed and worried". When I do try to explain that I have no control over my "over-thinking" no one ever seems to understand and always demand to know why I am over-thinking, which I obviously dont know why.

I get it quite a bit, from different people.
What to me seems like a random thought or an observation, is apparently an in depth analysis to others?

I overanalyse things, especially decisions. It can sometimes completely stop me cold if I can't arrive at a decision through conscious analysis (pros and cons don't match up nicely).

I do this all the fusking time. It can lead to some interesting conversations about not very talk-worthy subjects though.

I seem to have like a video player in my head that plays things over and over and I can't stop it- conversations, embarrassing moments, anything and everything really.

Sometimes I will be talking to someone and when we walk away I am convinced that I must have said something weird or acted weird and I replay the conversation over and over and of course, every time I play it it gets weirder which only further convinces me.
