I can't say I hate it, it's actually really nice the first days but when you live in Scandinavia, everything is covered in snow between December-March and it's pretty tiring. But it's quite nice as long as you're inside. :P

Snow is absolutely magical.
I adore the cold. It's an excuse to find ways to be warm, and those ways are usually very comforting.
Snow itself is very aesthetic. But I don't like to touch it.

Yes it is, I'm having snow outside of my window, looking out, right now. :D

I wouldn't say I "hate" snow, I'm just not the biggest fan. My main problems with snow are 1) The reflection blinds the crap outta me and 2) When I step on it or touch it the wrong way it makes my teeth clench and grind, as well as sending a weird sensation through my body that's hard to accurately explain. Looking at it from a certain angle, it's beautiful; Until it turns all black of course.

+ Swallows sounds, so everythings more quiet.
+ Less people on the street.
+ If you live outside a citiy, its really wonderful to look at. :)
+ Car driving is much more easy. Everything thats white can be ignored. ^^

- Have to get up at 6:00 in the morning to remove the snow from the public sidewalk in front of my house.
- Need to change my car wheels.
- Need to install the snow chains on the wheels if there is really, really much snow falling.
- Need to wash the car in the cold every 2 weeks, so the salt of the street dont damage the car.
- 2-3 as much work as in summer with washing the cloth. (Summer: Pantie, Jean, Bra, T-Shirt; Winter: Pantie, woolen leggins, woolen knee socks, Jean, long underwear shirt, Longsleeve Shirt, Wool Pullover, armless jacket or west.... -.- )
- Much more ... in the cat toilet. (They are allowed to go outside. They just dont want until spring. ^^)
- Cant have the window open all day long.

Everyone in the bottom half of the UK - prepare for snow on not this week-end coming but the next week-end, and also during the first couple of weeks in February. It is waiting for then because that's when I am on my break from work.

Quote:
+ Less people on the street.
Last year when it snowed where I live, I walked down to my grandmother's with my mum and my aunt, expecting there to be nobody about in the streets, and there was even more people about than there normally is! Worse - everyone (except me) was in this unusually friendly mood and were speaking to every stranger they saw as though everyone suddenly knew each other. Every person (young or old) that we passed greeted my mum and my aunt, and then it gave me the obligation to have to make eye contact and smile and speak too, when I didn't want to.

I'd rather walk out when it's raining. You can hide under your umbrella and everyone's less friendly. Speaking to people whom I know is a bit different, but speaking to strangers is TORTURE!! !! !! !

(That's not the only reason why I hate snow, by the way).

I think this year you will have more luck during your holiday, because this weekend is supposed to be worst, when counting cold and snowfall. So according to statistic it would be rather unusual if there would be two weeks long bad weather until your holiday. :)

Well, apparently we're supposed to be getting milder weather coming over this week-end, with rain on Sunday and lasting into next week. However, it is known to have a big freeze for 12 days on average (which my part of the UK has had) then to have a ''break'' (having milder weather) for about a week, then to have the snow back again, coming in from a northerly wind. I've got to be at work all this week-end (when we are getting the milder weather and the rain), then I just hope next week-end (my week-end off) will be...well I don't mind what it will be, as long as the temperature stays anywhere above 3 celcius. Then I hope it stays above 3 celcius for the rest of the year. (Nights don’t count). :)

I don't mind getting 2 or 3 inches of snow. But, I would never miss snow if we never had it.

Snow calms me down, and winter limits the colours of the world. I don't like too many colours. I don't like the glare though. Snow with overcast is preferred. But overcast is ALWAYS preferred.

This is a great poll! It reminds me of a poll i wanted to make....
I am horrible in cold weather, cold, ice, snow, even just freezing temps.
I cannot function at all when cold.
I don't hate snow, i hate being cold.
Snow can be very beautiful.
Yet since we moved to the warmth where there is never snow, it's helped me a lot.

I don't hate snow BUT I don't like to walk in it, though I'm starting to get more used to it since I live in Sweden.
But to be honest I really prefer to avoid going out when it has snowed, it is so much more enjoyable from my window ! ! :)
