I Currently cut my own hair almost all the time, barring a wedding or interview where I have to look sharp and might not have time.
I cut my own hair using standard electric hair clipper with a multitude of clipper guard lengths from very short up to 1.0 inch long. Usually I have quite short hair, use the #2 (2/8 inch) on the sides, lifting my hand with clipper straight up the side and back of my head and not following the contour around to the top. Then I cut the top with #6 (6/8 inch) and no hair is longer than the # 6, looks very clean, even, and is easy to do. My wife would rather I have really long hair but I am not up for that yet haha. But short is ok, and looks good not just my opinion The "blending" happens automatically by moving your hand straight up the sides.. the hair wraps around the curve of your head on top so there doesn't end up being a "bump" or anything between the 2 and 6.. draw a picture or run a comb up and you will see what I mean.. at the transition at the top of the side or back... the hair length changes from the #2 right at the tangency point, and then as the follicles grow farther up the curve on the top of your head, they stay longer.
My hair is very very fine brown hair, a lot of it.. so any defects in a hair cut shows up pretty easily and clearly.. often I pay for a cut, go home, shower, dry, and see big chunks of uncut or uneven hair.. I don't mind bad as much as I mind lack of symmetry! I used to try to clean the cut up at home, but at some point, I got married, didn't even have to pretend to be as normal, bought the clippers, and bing bang boom I am rocking.
So, based on the above, would the entities on this site view such behavior as generally odd, or more anchored as typical of someone with AS?
