I have never stolen anything either, that includes piracy. And, to me, stealing from a large store is just the same as stealing from your neighbour. You might think the large store can afford the loss, but don't ever think that they'll accept it. The cost incurred, due to theft, goes directly onto the price we end up paying for the products, so the customer is the one who loses. If theft is covered by insurance, insurance premiums go up and prices go up, to accommodate them. So, even if it was morally acceptable to be a kind of modern day Robin Hood, the plan to redress the balance between rich and poor would not work.
I have a hard time buying that with the LIBOR scam perpetuated on the world. The corporate bailouts where execs. were writing themselves $50 million bonus checks with tax payer money after they just plundered their company. Rigged gasoline prices, rigged food prices, etc etc etc.. When was the last time you saw a record label, 'artist', or movie studio offer a discount for poor people who can't afford to buy a CD or watch a movie? Show your food stamp card and get a discount; would that make these corporate whores any less rich? No, it would make them more rich while allowing poor folks to participate in popular culture legally.
