Define "mild"
I'm definitely not "mild." I would consider myself "high-functioning," as I can drive and engage in basic communication (usually), but not "mild." I have one real-life friend. The others are online, because It's via text, and I'm much more able to communicate via text than verbally. I text my "friend" when he's right next to me, because I'm better understood that way. I used "friend" in quotes because it's complicated.... we love each other, but it's complicated.

Mild is lower severity of autistic traits, usually at behavioral level since those are what we know most about, but cognitive and neurological levels are being studied, and we will know more about those in future.
So in research, autism severity is measured by tests of past or current behaviors observed by others like on ados, adir, cars, srs, and other scales.
On internetz, I found cars, but it is only for children, but there is some idear of severity spectrum for various autistic traits: CARS
There is wunderbar ceiling fan spinning at top of cars webpage.
As for intelligence, it has helped me in many ways, but so far, it has not helped me with my social dunceness, as my social dunceness is so high that I usually can't remember that I am a social dunce who requires applications of intelligence to ameliorate social dunceness, so intelligence is not used to ameliorate social dunceness, and maybe it makes it worse, I don't know.
Also, a high cognitive ability in certain area can make autistic trait more severe, for eggsample, ability to keep track of many items at once seems to make it mandatory to keep track of many items at once, and this increases autistic trait of attending to each and eberry detail eberrywhere all the time, there being no scale back function possible, because brain does not seem to work that way.
