Africans alienate to Europe if we allow them too. We'd provide the go-betweens in the trade operations, rather than allowing them to trade directly through our canal. The canal would be ours. However I think that we'd grow economically very fast in such a spot, plus with our technological advancements (c'mon, a nation full of aspies, the only countries that would compete with us technologically would be US and Japan), we could also use cloning technology to end hunger. Though this would piss alot of African and European governments off. But we'd have a robotic military as well, which is better than sending humans to die. I'd say we should follow a technocratic-style government as well.

Let's see... Antarctica definitely not. Living in a place so isolated from civilization can get you into some BIG depression, let me tell you. Not to mention the cold (or do you like staying isnidde the whole time? Personally, I enjoy long walks).

New Zealand or a Pacific island? Well, if you can get rid of the tourists...

I like that underwater city idea. I used to think of that a long time ago, thanks for reminding me.

Why a city, or a country? Why mot take over Mars, terraform it, and kick anyone else who attempts to get there?

Oh, you mean like Ambrosia! (Read "Billy Liar" if you don't get the reference)

Chile? Chile is cold, it's further south. You better come here to Peru instead. Much nicer, and lots of different climates/geography to choose.

And that way I could be the supreme ruler.

Maybe have it in the Altantic Ocean, kinda reminiscent of Atlantis. I'd want it to be near the equator though.

I can deal with the cold just fine, I'm from Maine, and I spent five years growing up on North Dakota

Unfortunately for you, I would be the bomb throwing anarchist. --You do know what happens to many supreme rulers, don't you? :)

Heh, the irony is is that i've been thinking about starting a new country for quite a number of years before i turned up here.

NZ would probably be the best choice, i'm sure the Kiwis wouldn't mind the extra company.

However, if i had my way about it, it WOULD be Mars.. all that land and the good thing is, there'd be technically no ecological impact because there's practically no ecology from what we know so far.

My thoughts on a new country would be that it's primary industry would be research and development. Without the land, resources and contacts to truely tap into a proper infrastructure, primary and secondary industries (Farming/mining and industrial) wouldn't be able to get off the ground in the face of existing markets. Therefore, it would HAVE to be research to generate the sort of funding you'd need to help maintain a brand new infrastructure.

The form of Government, i personally believe should be a Republic. Less messy and more to the point than most other forms.

Yeah but capitolism is a bad system anyhow, especially for aspies. Seeing as we're not generally as geared towards capitolist goals like climbing the heirarchy, technocracy is perfect for aspies. There is no money, no status, no need for that stuff, it's a technology/science-based form of government, no need to work a job or fight in wars (robots will do those things), this system was made for aspies. Scientific and technological advancements would sky rocket fast. Self education and complete individuality are highly encouraged.

There's no such thing as an "NT language" or an "Aspie language". I think it's stupid how some people here label everything they don't like as "NT", even though other Aspies might like it.

HEY, AS people are the ones that are into LANGUAGE! Latin is all but dead though. It is used only to some degree by sciences. Esparanto was a dumb idea created by a monk(as I recall) to try to get everyone to believe there was equal effort. Not many speak it.

Why not stick with English.

Steve

Yeah, I'm much more interested in language than any NTs I know.

I agree about Esperanto. From what I've seen, it seems like a mess.

Great idea! Maybe the hobbit holes could be at great intervals along the north and south islands of New Zealand? Are there any other Tolkien fans here?

Great location, but would it not be crowded with all the people with Asperger's Syndrome migrating there? Or are we going to compel the neuro-typical members of the Manxmen to leave at the point of the sword? This does not sound very civilized. Besides, with the Aspergian population of the entire world it would probably still be crowded and we would all react badly. Admittedly a low birth rate might gradually bring the population down as we died of old age, but we would probably be invaded then (if not earlier) as the Manxmen, understandably distrought at losing their homes, would have pettitioned Parliament and returned at the head of the British armed forces. Still, it would make an interesting history... Who do you think would win? Hypothetically, of course.
