Yes. Literally. I have gotten migraines ad nauseum to the point that I thought I was going to have an aneurism. I have even been driven to meltdowns. I can't settle around people who are constantly going for it and it makes me literally sick. I guess like PNNormal ^ said, exhausted is where it starts for me and then it just gets worse from there.

I work around one of these, people, seems very annoying to me. Very extroverted, very social cracks jokes etc.....

Extreme extroverts don't make me sick, but they might make me freak out. If I'm stuck with someone who talks too much for too long, I start to feel tired, anxious, and panicky. I usually need to go hide afterwards.

I don't need to hide afterwards, I'll just stick my head in a book, computer or video game and let that mellow me out.

I think there may be some confusion too. I don't hate people like that as far as hate is concerned like thinking they are evil or something but their constant huge amounts of energy literally makes me sick. I can't be around it for very long because I can't keep up with the energy and I get drained and exhausted and I get huge piercing migraines and nausea and have meltdowns. I actually think they hate me because I am introverted. I know that some of them do because they have told me and acted like it in front of me. It's not a matter of hating the person but not being able to sustain around the constant energy. I don't think that is offensive at all. It's just a fact. People tend to hate me because I can't keep up with them. And I always get reprimanded and yelled at or made fun of in a mean way because I can't keep up. In fact, I got yelled at for two days straight because I could not keep up socially with a friend that was with us for a few days. I have always been told that I have to get "out of myself" and "have a good time". Well my good time is sitting around staring at something. So sorry, but yes, people with huge amounts of energy do make me sick. I don't choose to get sick, it just happens. Sometimes it takes me over a week to recover. And I am the one who is hated because of it. How offensive or unfair is that? No one seems to think it's offensive or unfair when I suffer because I have to keep up with them.

They don't make me sick. But I think they are annoying and intimidating.

Oh I'm sorry, I hadn't realised that doing something that exhausts me to the point of being too tired to read was good for me. I'll do it more, Doctor.

Not literally, thank goodness. :) But just watching and /or listening to them wears me out. I don't know if my sister-in-law is what you would call extroverted, but she is quite high-strung, seldom sits down, and is constantly hovering over my brother and her two daughters when they are over. I've actually told my mother I get tired just watching her and that my sister-in-law makes me look pretty mellow. Mom thinks it's funny. :?

Yeah, being totally stressed and strung out to the point of meltdown and aneurism concerning migraine is the best thing I need. Yeah okay. I think I'll just hang out with you Who Am I. We can sit together and just stare at trees and lakes and listen to birds chirping while Cody socializes. Oh no wait, maybe we should socialize and nearly kill ourselves like I did driving home the other day since I was so stressed and exhausted from the socializing I could barely keep my car from going off the road. But since it's so good for us, I don't know, maybe we should just learn to get better at it.

Give me a break man, isn't that part of the definition of Autism? I'll just hang out in a quiet spot with you Who Am I.

Absolutely. I might even bring a music theory or ski technique book. That actually sounds heavenly. Just sitting by the lake reading. That's my idea of a great day. :)

Hey Aussie Bloke. You can come sit by the lake with me and Who Am I. Bring your dove too. I'll bet she would love the peaceful quiet non socializing scene. :D That would be fun. All us non socializers can hang out together and not socialize! :D
