http://www.weather.com makes the site nearly useless. It takes forever to load. Perhaps they assume that everyone always has the latest and greatest computer. Also, far too many websites require you to run Windoze to get much use out of the site.

I don't think there are many sites out there that require you to have windows .
And most sites use analytics packages to determine the percentage of users using newer platforms vs. older ones so decisions should not be based on assumptions. On WrongPlanet, for instance, the percentage of sessions from people with windows xp is close to zero.
