Maybe she just meant you looked pale and needed a little sun?? Or maybe you were lurking about like a phantom.

hee hee hee I can't quit laughing. That sums them up pretty well. There's this one guy I know and I just want to stand beside him and wave my hands back and forth to see if he can see me. I suspect Aspie wildmen have no peripheral vision; they can only look straight ahead. Come to think of it I think the Borg are the same way. Hmmm... it all makes perfect sense now.

I think I have seen aspie women without actually meeting them. Some wear unusual clothing styles, lack the makeup and hair coloring NT women generally have. Plus they also have an unusual gait or posture.

Because half of us aren't looking for dates.

:D

I find that it's nice to be able to put a face to a name (however briefly it lasts).

I luv it when some poor unsuspecting ASpie guy posts a bomb that blows up in his face ! !!

However, the video thread does show a certain, erm, hesitancy in speech patterns.

I am disappointed. What a shallow and inane thing to say, in my opinion. Yuck.
Heaven forbid someone would want to look a person of similar mind that is pleasing to the eye. Geez, what is this sense of reason coming to!

But if you aren't looking for dates then why post picture? If a gal is even half way attractive, and if I remember correctly you are very attractive, then you will have Aspie guys PM'ing you for dates. I'm just trying to see the logic in this. And also the logic behind posting photos in public forums when you would be surprised just how many people in each of our hometowns is really on here lurking. I've heard of non-Aspies lurking the site.

That happens to me as well. They also walk up to me and just grab onto my clothing in the same manner as they would their parents. I just freeze. I'm always so unaware that I never know where they came from and I know if I stand still, the parent will come along sooner or later and detach them. I have no idea what causes that.

Happens and happened to me also. At one point it was insane, as children were detaching from their parents and just coming to stare at me with these big eyes or to stand near me. One little girl came and said to me, 'You're very pretty' and totally took me aback. I had no idea how to respond as even with children I am very shy nowadays so I said, 'Thankyou, you're very pretty too' and she skipped off back to her mother. The man I was obsessed with and who I 99% believe to be an aspie has the same problem apparently, haha. I watched him sat in the common one day, minding his own business when a little girl of about 2 years old walked right up to him and tried to touch him. Makes me wonder sometimes if they sense that aspergers people are closer to themselves in nature than to adults, in that they are less capable of lies and deceit.

I am intrigued by this thread, especially the children thing. I have had kids stare at me, and even want to go home with me. Animals, also take to me right away - anyone else have this? I've had people tell me that their pet who was usually grouchy and unfriendly, had warmed right up to me. As for looking younger, I am always mistaken to be at least ten years younger than I am. Meaning that I was always getting carded in clubs until well into my late thirties. I have also been told that I have a "distinctive" walk, if not downright strange.

I don't look young for my age. However, kids are always running up to me, smiling at me, handing me things, siting next to me, etc. Seem to pick me out of a room full of people. I must admit, I enjoy their friendliness.

I'm glad you mentioned the attraction animals have for us. Twice I have touched wild deer. Once while out in the woods drawing, a group of wild turkey walked up to me, gathered around me and took a 45 minute nap. The chipmunks around here follow me around like I was a piper. Opossums, skunks, a raccoon, lizards, frogs, an owl, even bats have walked up to me, touched me, landed on me checked me out, etc. Perhaps I need to move around a bit more - I'm probably being mistaken for a post. :)

Er, that is, a post with a wildman Aspie gaze!

Some people are too intimidated to come near me. My friend told me this is because of my aura which is "over flowing with confidence and power" or something like that. 8O

Others will walk right up to me and start talking to me.

I get flirted with ALMOST everytime I go to the mall or Wal*Mart or a resturant.
