Sorry double post, no longer able to edit the above post. But I forgot this one:
Randominity.
I love randomizing things. I like making decisions by sticking options into an online random generator and randomizing them. I have a pair of dice and a 20-side die on my desk by my laptop at all times for randomizing things or just to throw for fun and see what numbers come up.
Sometimes I go out of my way to randomize something, e.g. I've selected what to borrow from the library on two separate occasions the following way: randomly generate a letter from A-Ö (ö = the last letter in my language), go to the shelf of the letter that comes up, count with my finger one-by-one the entire number of books on that shelf (let's say e.g. 56), and then randomly generate a number from 1-56 and select the book the resulting number corresponds to.
I suspect part of the reason I love japanese RPGs so much is because of how much randominity is involved (random drops, random encounters, random amounts of gil between X and Y, random amount of damage between X and Y, there is a 1 in 3400 chance of such and such rare encounter, a 1 in 728 chance of such and such rare treasure appearing, etc etc... love it!). And this site is gold, I can sit and play with these generators for hours on end:
