When do you feel most alive?

This i can certainly relate to. i have all these sensory issues with wearing headfones and cannot listen to music around the house or else i can get nothing else done at all as i find it so all consumming. however, if you get me down the front of a good loud band i am very happy indeed!

That'd have to be my passionate love of the most adorable woman ever.

When I'm in a hotel room with an escort, just about to undress and get started. The flood of emotions I feel during those moments is real, be it nervousness, anticipation, excitement (sexual and otherwise), or blissful happiness. It's almost like going on a roller coaster ride, except you walk away sexually satisfied. I could go as far as saying that not only go I feel the most alive, but I also feel the most human during those moments. At the same time, when I was with my girlfriend (now ex-girlfriend), I felt nothing. All that mushy love stuff that's been around since the dawn of human history just wasn't there. I felt more like a computer running pre-programmed processes, rather than a person having feelings.

Time of Day: 2:00 pm
Wearing: my tight leather jacket, sleeveless IRON MAIDEN shirt (from England), Boots, Jeans, Kick ass shades
The Music: BLAZE BAYLEY, IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, etc, etc, etc.
Location: the HIGHWAY!

Screaming down the highway, no traffic, no cops, pusihing it to the MAXIMUM!! !! !! 100 miles per hour and beyond, ten seconds at a time, I FEEL ALIVE! Not even God himself could stop me, and no law enforcer is going to stand in my way

or just listening to heavy metal, it keeps me alive.

In the past couple weeks, I felt the most alive when a guy almost lane changed in to me, and when I asked out a girl. I've got to say I felt closer to death on the second one...

Lots of people have mentioned the feeling most alive went close to death - could it be we realise what we have at these times?
