Well I suck again because I have never scored high on any IQ test.
You've mentioned a few times that people have thought that you aren't smart, and that your IQ is not high.
I've always gotten the impression that you are intelligent, and especially that you have a lot of common sense. A lot of us here, even with high IQs, don't have a lot of common sense. I know that I often don't, and that I can be quite naive.
Intelligence depends on how one measures it. What's "intelligence"? Is it having a fantastic long-term, short-term, or working memory? If that's all that one has, it's not very useful. A memory alone is only storage. Is intelligence the ability to solve complex problems, the ability to make good observations, creativity, attention to detail, visuospatial skills, interpersonal (social) skills, "emotional intelligence, "common sense"?
I think that all of these things are important, even though not all are tested for during IQ tests. I'm not sure an IQ test can accurately measure the abilities that it does test for in all or even most people, anyway. Some people (like me) get very distracted or anxious during IQ tests. Learning disabilities can skew the results. So can problems with motor skills, hearing, or vision, if they aren't accounted for. Not getting enough sleep, not feeling well, or being in a poor mood can (and probably will) negatively affect the results.
