Ummm,which reminds me of something.

Does anyone here have a tendency to want to see things in front of them??
I tend to build stacks of stuff on my desk, and tend to put my clothes on a chair in the bedroom instead of in the closet..
Its like I just want to see it there.
It drives my roomie mad so I put things away but then 3 days later its all back on the desk again*L*

I'm highly protective of much of my stuff - except for some things I've had too long, am bored with & am just waiting for a chance to give away.

My thing, though, is that I can't have a roommate because I want things exactly the way I want them. I want my apartment to be to my taste, and mine only. It's partly a self-expressive thing, and I guess a way of expressing myself because I have trouble doing so the way people normally do. But when I have my place the way I want it, my confidence level is higher too. I've been going through a very long rough patch, and my apartment is nowhere near the way I want it, overcluttered too and far from clean. It's all very depressing.

Anyway, protective? Oh, yeah!

I do that. Sometimes, I go shopping and leave all the canned goods on the counter. If I put them away, I tend to forget that I bought them, and go out and buy them again. I leave my clothes on a chair, until it nearly topples over.

Yes, I am just a tad overprotective of my belongings. In fact, just a few weeks ago, I had a meltdown partly because of that. However, I know it is a terrible fault of mine, and I try not to be so territorial. I try to look at the big picture, that stuff is stuff, and has no feelings, and doesn't care about who owns it. However, people do have feelings, and it is far more preferable to let something be touched or jostled around than to snap at someone you like.
