Hate old people?
a lot of ppl think that but its not true. if u send the average person into say the woods to live for a month, he would probably die. ppl get lost in the woods hiking or w/e and die all the time. its not as easy as one would think.
you would have to build a good, warm shelter. u would have to get food and water. you would have to defend agionst wiled animals. you would have to be careful not to eat any poison. if its winter you need to start a fire and keep it going. you need to survive storms and stuff. it would be very hard.

I said HEALTHY Mat. Quit confusing the average American with someone naturally adjusted to a tougher environment. I don't know if they teach this in your whacked out little middle school but humans have survived for the past millions of years almost exclusively in the wild and many cultures still do. You should AT LEAST have heard of the Native Americans. Then more recently you have Africa, the forest regions of South America, etc. Quit treating modern society like it's something magical. And also quit assuming that because you're blatantly weak and uncapable of survival outside of an electric powered house that everyone else is.

So when you move out to a deserted island with no other people and make your own house, find your own food, make your own clothing, communication devices, entertainment and ect let us know how it goes? Until than you're depending on people just like everyone else is. Sorry to break it to you but you're currently in a world where YOU are using OTHER PEOPLES inventions such as the internet and other technology around the house, you're living in a house that SOMEONE ELSE built eating food OTHER PEOPLE made or cultivated.
Who wants to live in the wildnerness anway? Half an acre will do me.
It might be a good idea to ask some old timers to give you a tip or two before you go

Since when was a deserted island the wild? Have you ever heard of this thing called a forest? .. How about mountains, desert, or snow?

What I really hate is old ladies. I mean, it's gotten to the point where I'm scared to even go near them, especially to ask them something. And when they are nice to me, they treat me like a little kid instead of an eighteen year old. But back to the mean part. Here are just a few examples.
Once when I was eight, I was travelling alone on a plane and I was forced to sit next to this really rude old lady who "despised every kid" even though I was nothing but nice to her. And she was saying some really horrible things to me, too, and my parents weren't there to tell her to lay off. Luckily, the plane was so full, they had to make room for the adults and moved me up to first class and left the old ***** in coach.
And here's an example from last summer. I was at Toys R Us looking for Cars stuff. When I had finally found a display, there were these two old ladies right in the way. Anyway, I said excuse me and asked if I could see the display and they started giving me major attitude about waiting my turn and respecting my elders and all that crap (once again I hadn't done anything to provoke them). But I wasn't just going to let them tell me off like that. I stood my ground, told them they had already been there a while, and to let other people look at them. That got one of them really mad. She actually grabbed my arm really hard (I started to bleed) to swear at me non-stop. I then ran to one of the employees to tell her what happeneed and the other old lady was taking the first old lady's side the whole time. After that, I went into the bathroom to wash the now-dripping blood off and hid from them the rest of the time. I still have that scar and it's right next to the one my dad gave me in '04. Just what I needed another reminder of.
And another one. I was visiting the model homes up in the front of my neighborhood with my dog, Zack. (Mind you, he's a Pomeranian so he's quite small.) The lady that works there loves it when I bring the dogs by and she let's me take them inside the models. Anyway, as I was walking out the door to go to the models, this old lady came in right on the other side, took one look at me, and called me a brat! I didn't even do anything to her! I've gotten plenty of other times where old ladies have glared at me for no reason, too. Oh, and don't even get me started on my grandma!
So as you see, I really can't stand old ladies now. Now I don't mind old men so much (unless they're driving slow and erratic), but the old ladies are the worst. I mean, why should I like them after all this and more? I won't even go near one now because I'm too scared!! !
You avoided the point.
You have no point.
Why do I not live in the wild?
I find society conveniant and entertaining - not necessary though. I was raised with forest stretching miles out in every direction and taught wilderness survival skills as a child. Woohoo, I could make it out there. This was my secondary point - that people are capable of survival outside of an urban area. That point is blatantly correct.
My original point:
The "being healthy enough to live in the wilderness" was an analogy. It meant if someone is capable of survival outside of society they are thereby not dependant. I stated this in response to several of you claiming we were ALL DEPENDANT on someone, which is untrue. We choose to accept the services however because it is conveniant.
Now.. MY problem is the people who MUST rely on the support of others to get around, eat, and live. They are parasitic to us. I find them annoying. I do not like them. That is my opinion. Now this last paragraph aside, I see no error in the logic of my earlier message. Go on though, I dare you to prove wrong my two points:
1. People are not all dependant on others.
2. Humans are capable of survival outside of society.

I really don't care to prove YOU wrong I was bringing up a point which I did have one, if you'd step back and look at it from a distance you'd see it. I didn't mention anywhere that I personally disagreed with you either since I really don't so don't get so cocky. Objective debate, not personal. Anyways, the point was you are currently using people. Maybe you wouldn't NEED it - how are you to know unless you have done it before, have you been away from everything man made and made it on your own? If so bravo, so have I. Who cares.
In society we depend on people but if you choose to be dense to this than so be it, whatever. Sure, we accept it because of its convenience but unless you're a Mennonite in your current situation you are using people.
Do you have a job?
Do you have a TV?
You obviously have the internet.
These were mad by other people my friend.
As was that chair you're sitting in, the food and drinks you're eating and drinking, the stove you use, the carpet you step on, the house you're in, blah blah blah. Its reality.
Now, I can see your point on these so called 'dependents'. I think there should be a seperate term for someone who depends on another because they need or desire things and someone who cannot live without materialistic crap. I am however failing to conjure one currently. Agreed, people who seem to NEED others as in NEED psychical attention, NEED this and NEED that as if their life were to completely crumble the second they lost it are in fact very annoying yes however a good amount of them can survive without it - they'll just be more miserable than others. The human body itself doesn't need these things to live, its more in the psychology of the person, their upbringing, ect.
I find that most old people are quiet and angry looking until they see something they disagree with, then they rip it to shreds with old-school thinking.
But you can't say "do old people seem..." because people will assume you mean ALL old people and assassinate you.
What a funny word when written, assassinate
but yea. most old people are fed up with the world.
I find myself fed up with a lot of pop culture nowadays, too, you damn kids!! I'm only 22 though.
Hey, let's leave out the huge generalizations. I respect your preference for older people over younger people, but young people are not *all* clowns. I happen to be extremely quiet and introverted, as I'm sure most of the "youngsters" are on this board, and I'm the most boring dresser in the universe, so I don't see how I'd classify as clownish.
