Smell gives me the fewest problems, that's the easiest one to say, because it's the most reliable. I have a sensitive nose, but I smell accurately and it doesn't get scrambled very often the way everything else does.

[quote="cowlypso"]You mean we have to choose?

I was thinking the same, cowlypso!

About the question as to which sense(s) cause the most difficulty: Yes. My problem, partly, is that I cannot readily distinguish between my senses; I hear what I see, for instance. My senses overlap somewhat (synaesthesia). I have read that humans take in ~ 80% of their stimuli through their sight! I am especially sensitive to bright extraneous light (like fluorescent), white noise, "endless loop" screensavers. I have been in a dept. store with a wall of TV screens and I almost fainted with vertigo. This evening I went to a coffee shop and just listened to the din of human voices without processing the meaning of their words. Certain sounds/sights feel incongruent and this makes me feel faint.

Sound and light are big at the time. I've always been very bothered by the light on days with strata-type clouds, when they are not thick enough to block enough light. Loud noise is horrible, but lately the noise of some computer-screens, a very high-pitch noise, has been disturbing me.
Some years ago I was more bothered with smell and taste.

Touch and sound.

Sudden loud noises(I mean Loud as in closeby) and unexpected touch startle the crap out of me. I mean ALOT.

One of my particular sensitivities is that I can't really tolerate a breeze on me from an electric fan. Oscillation and/or only covering part of my body, especially. I'm not so sure about natural breezes, anymore, since my agoraphobia keeps me inside so much.

Definitely touch.
I hit anyone who touches me. Involuntarily.

For me it's smell although if it's because I'm allergic. Before that, I smelt everything the same but they didn't make me cough and sometimes lose breath. Although, all of my senses bother me somewhat... except sight- I'm not sensitive to lights and the like.

Sounds, most definitely. I hate repetitive sounds that most people block out, and can hear stuff that not many others can. This doesn't help me concentrate at all...

And same here again!
