When names are mispronounced or misspelled
I couldn't agree more. But how do you feel about names that are commonly misspelled to the point you don't know it? You see Kaitlyn, a misspelling, more than you see Caitlin (the original).
Yeah.
That combined with that ...what I call "robot talk" by narrators of nonfiction vids on U-Tube.
U Tubers always mispronounce things. The Nazi war crime doctor who did hideous experiments named Dr Mengele - his name is pronounced Men-gel-layyy. Not "Min- GELL (rhymes with "olay" not with "bell"). Sorry. Its still fresh in my mind ( maybe he deserves to have his name butchered- but anyway...).
And what's up with that herky jerky way U Tube narrators talk? They sound like computer voices in elevators, and on phone answering machines: those sentences cobbled together from prerecorded snippets of people uttering syllables- that then get spliced together- this is a call from ...and each digit is spoken in a different pitch, and in a different volume.
Must be from both excessive editing (because of amateurish announcing), and from clumsy editing.
Cant they just read copy into a mic, and sound human?
