My tastes are not as gourmet as the above.

I like the food in "greasy spoon" places.

Sorry I've just seen your post. It depends on you. It can be anything from chicken to beef, not fish though, as long as it is minced.

Or, as us Maritimers would say it, "bodadoes" (thanks, Stompin' Tom)! I'm lucky to live in the province next to PEI (the 'bright red mud'), so they're really cheap.

Favourite foods?
Fish and fries,
Smelly cheeses,
Sandwiches (especially BLT's),
Whole grain bread, and
almost all vegetables.

The only foods I can't stand are fruits. They've got a low pH, it softens the enamel on teeth (they actually feel noticeably softer after the rare time I eat fruit) and can lead to staining and fillings if eaten in excess (yes, my teeth are very white and filling-free, thanks for asking). Yogurt... well, it looks and feels utterly disgusting, and the fact that most yogurt contains fruits doesn't play in its favour ever.

I don't know if drinks are included here, but I almost always drink water (oftentimes the hardest beverage to obtain at a social gathering), very rarely a small amount of wine. Definitely not pop, that's just plain gross. I'd drink out of the toilet before that.

When I was in the local hospital, they served something they called "porridge", but I suspect it was left over mop-bucket water; I could not even conceive how you could make porridge taste so bad. :x

The city hospital food was quite yummy, though. :P

the local hospital mighta hadda make do with limited funds. my small town hospital seems to be well-funded and it had first class grub. people would eat their lunches at the hospital cafeteria, in fact.

My favourite food in general is probably cheese. I like virtually all kinds of it, and it's so versatile.

But if you're talking about actual dishes, I like pizza, pasta, mild chili con carne, chicken korma, hamburgers, Chinese noodles, liver, salmon, and steak. Not all together, I should mention.

Tuna steak?

That's good, but I prefer beef steak myself.

I don't think I've had a steak since the 90s.
