The impenetrable screed
I struggle with not writing screeds but I don't job hunt. I'm on ESA (support level). For non Brits that means I'm on disability and not allowed to look for jobs as it would be bad for my mental health.
I like to split things into paragraphs but there has to be a reason for that rather than simply because a paragraph is getting too long.
I like to read long paragraphs if they're about things like psychiatry or philosophy or literature etc. If they're about someone's life and that someone hasn't bothered to make it about something bigger I don't care to read it.
But that's because I'm trying to relate to it and can't.
The person has to be a good writer in general and interesting in general at least as far as that one topic is concerned.
But I don't care if it's uni level. I find objecting unnecessarily to educational and philosophical texts to be an unfortunate habit that NTs have and we shouldn't copy.
Common sense isn't common so sometimes you need all that filler. I try without it sometimes and people jump to conclusions. I did that once on another forum and people thought I was writing a story to publish on fanfiction.net even though I was writing a poem to publish in a magazine. I thought they'd check my profile but they didn't. It got annoying.
