That's actually an apt description also (since ostriches are known to put there head in the sand: I went into hiding from her). I looked it up and to my disappointment "ostracize" is from Greek and "ostrich" is from Latin. I guess we'd have to go further back for a connection

I mentioned the original situation to my new ASD therapist. My English teacher didn't like me, so I skipped her class or was late as often as possible. That made sense to me. Who would want to go to a class where they are disliked? So once the truancy officer caught me and said I was in trouble. I couldn't understand why. I was behaving as any reasonable, well behaved person would, right?
