Ostracized? Made you into an ostrich?

To be "ostracized" means to be "banished to the margins", to be "not accepted by the group", "folks no longer speaking to you", and like that.

I know what that is like but I never knew it had a specific name.

That's actually an apt description also (since ostriches are known to put there head in the sand: I went into hiding from her). I looked it up and to my disappointment "ostracize" is from Greek and "ostrich" is from Latin. I guess we'd have to go further back for a connection  .

I mentioned the original situation to my new ASD therapist. My English teacher didn't like me, so I skipped her class or was late as often as possible. That made sense to me. Who would want to go to a class where they are disliked? So once the truancy officer caught me and said I was in trouble. I couldn't understand why. I was behaving as any reasonable, well behaved person would, right?

BTW - The recent two posts of yours were very short, so we are clearly off topic. :D

Off topic. Hahahahahaha! I had to look what the topic was then.
A few times I should have skipped school as it would have saved me soo many difficult situations. I never did skip school or collage. I was too frightened to incase my parents found out. But it would have saved me from situations which really effected me for many years.

To me, an education is about learning and gaining the knowledge. The qualification is meaningless.

I often wonder if I come across as boring for not sharing too many personal details in a conversation. People ask, how was your day/weekend etc, and I don't say anything but "fine" and then redirect the question and start talking about the other person instead. So I'm still doing social experiments on how to become more interesting as a person and normal as everyone else who can just hang around and enjoy being with each other.

Jon81.
Is such a subject you mention. How to make yourself interesting to other people. I have no answer to this one. I don't really know how to do this? I have to be honsst and say I am not that good at it. I can easily talk about myself all day, but I often hit a blank when it comes to being any good at conversations about other people whom I am talking to because though I hear what they say, I often find I am talking about myself instead of the other way round because somehow something is missing to make things into two way conversations. I can speak to those who are good listeners, as they are sucn gems of people.
My mother seems to be better at this then I am, and she often tells me off saying "You are meant to let the other people speak about the things they like as well!" And without thinking I replied "But I don't know what she likes". (I was talking to a neighbour. If she wasn't a neighbour I would be embarissed to speak to her as she is a brain surgeon. Her husband is also head of something in the medical field. Lovely kind people. Embarissed? Well. I would be concerned she would be noticing that what I say may not be normal. As neighbours... We all are here for each other, but as neighbouring houses are all a distance apart and everyone has their own private lives up here, all is fine. We are all a little different to live here).

I tend to over write things and bore people without intending to. I write too much about self. I think I come accross as self centred, but it is more I can't remeber or think what to ask another person as not many like the thigs I can talk about endlessly, such as trains or bicycles etc...

The problem is, for me to make bullet points takes about ten times longer then if I write a book, as I have to almost write a book and keep condensing the work down until finally it becomes bullet point material. It is a back to front say of doing it I know!

same, except replace trains and bikes with insects and martial arts.

Nice. Better still... Insects which do martial arts.

There should be more insect styles in kung fu. I wonder what would ant style look like? Just have thousands of people attack a single enemy at once maybe.

A British expression. I think that I have heard it here in the states on rare occasions, but only in British shows and movies and large or small screen. Never in real life conversation.

Just googled it and apparently even the experts don't know the origin of the expression.
