Sulforaphane: The Cure to Autism
I am taking Sulforaphane Broccoli Seed Extract + BioPerine by Smoky Mountain Nutrition
There is a sticker on the plastic bottle that reads:
Sulforaphane supplement 75 mg with Myrosinase, Broccoli Seeds, Broccoli Sprouts Extract, and Mustard Seeds
This leads me to believe they are making changes to their formula. I think they have removed BioPerine because black pepper fruit extract is no longer showing up in their formulation.

okay ... not discontinued am still on it neuro biologex is my brand am using
80 mg sulfurophane pardon spelling please. and already use,a buncha supplements for years, but all have been sourced and test with and without.
So please believe me here am not prone to psychsomatic stuff, as my trial and error testing if using anything is quite scrupulous , i hate taking pills .
And anything thats causes me to feel remotely addictive . So nutrition to a serious once badly damaged anatomy and Aspie nuerology and badly damaged portions of spinal cord nerve connects. has cause me to be quite succint about what i put into my body . Frickken shoulda gone to medical school, just hate doctors. be a millionare by now.
And IT IS the durn cats saliva that gets me .. and yess cats lick themselves.
So yes its the durn feline population , i adore , ( except their penchant for eating baby birds) but then i love dragons too and believe in other mythological beasts. but donot go outta my way to be around fire breathing dragons.
or self induced allergic reactions either .
(most odd note here :my typing on this stupid tablet thing i use seems to have increased in accurance by a large factor).

I would agree with that observation. I can almost understand you now. I wonder if it might be attributed to the sulforaphane or perhaps something else.

Jakki, I mean no offense. I tend to be rather blunt.
But if you really are serious about that question, review some of your threads from about 6 months ago.

And trying to be objective about it aswell.

Jakki, I wish you well in coping with your stressor. If the stress gets too much, remember to go someplace and just let it all out and scream. It will give you some relief.
One needs to vent the stored stress energy in their neck muscles, vocal cords, and jaw. The best way is to scream at the top of your lungs several times. But this must be done in a socially acceptable manner. Never scream at a person. I live in the rural countryside and my dog is a free-range dog. When it is mealtime and my dog is up and about; I call my dog very loudly.
R-o-c-k-y. Come here puppy. R-o-c-k-y.
R-o-c-k-y. Where are you puppy? R-o-c-k-y.
R-o-c-k-y. Come here puppy.
I yell so loud that I can hear my voice being echoed back to me from nearby hills and mountains. My voice carries about a mile. The call is so strong that it borders on a roar. It is a very good feeling. It gives me a sense of great strength, like I could split a mountain in two just with my voice alone. I feel strong to my core. It is a great stress reliever or normalizer. And it is socially acceptable in the countryside.
One might try howling like a wolf at the moon. There is an individual in New York City that howls at the subway cars as they pass by deep down in the subway stations. But there are other ways to scream in a socially acceptable manner. A singer can do this if it is a very powerful song. A barker in the county fair can do this. A fan at a rock concert can sing along at the top of their lungs. Some commuters sing along to the tune on the radio at the top of their lungs while they are driving down the road. A spectator at a sports event can do this in cheering on their team. Even a Girl Scout can practice barking in front of the local grocery store when she sells Girl Scout cookies. Or find yourself a soundproof room.

This is interesting, as i do not yell or scream, it was bred out of me at very young age .Reinforced by manners unspeakable in decent company .
But have occassionallys ream at objects that do not cooperate with the use of my hands. As occassionally my nervous system , does not follow , with what my brain expects .. Not consistently so not reproducable on command .
And vent frustration on inanimate objects . Humans can be considerably more fragile , and would not want anyone yelling at me, but am off topic.
Your suggestion is well taken and may strive to find a place i can yell perhaps at a passing train , As the city i live in is a central hub for railroad industry .
Thank you ..had not ever considered this idea.
To me , from now on you will be considered jimmy the aspie that could
"RAWR " written with a smile .

Loves velcro,
Have been taking it for a few weeks. A problem is that I lack an objective way to quantify if it has any influence on my social abilities. However I did notice an increase in passing gas. But I did order a so called emotion cards-game that is suppose to practice ones ability to recognise emotions in peoples facial expressions. So that might provide me some kind of test to see if there is any improvement.

good for you for giving it a try.... am still using it .. Am more likely to use physiological guidelines to judge it . Most odd seems my stress tolerance has improved , better stamina. Generally am useless by 3 pm each day.... this seems to have been changed .. mandatory napps or rest periods are becoming more as a optional thing . This is significant. i think . Reflects on my oversll interactions these days . Pretty sure the culprit is this supplement ,

Problem is that I could not find any information about how high the dose needs to be to see any effects. It might be more then one could get from a healthy diet.
