I wouldn't necessarily say it improves, I'd put it more like with age your ability to deal with the related obstacles and challenges increases.

For example now I feel much more able and comfortable to deal with social situations and unexpected events than I would've a few years ago.

My life is definitely fuller, with much more variety of experiences, then it was just five years ago. In some ways, however, I haven't fundamentally changed.
