I agree. It doesn't matter if the insurance is paying because you still pay for the insurance. My insurance covers mine as well but I won't allow a therapist to be an idiot and still get paid with insurance that I pay for. If you are going to be paid, especially that ridiculous amount of money, you'd better be worth it.

One good example to start - the discusison-thread 'I Dislike Socialization But I Crave It So Badly.'

Personally, connecting with other people (beyond small-talk with familliar people) is difficult.

I once had an awesome therapist experienced with the Autism Spectrum in young adults - a therapist who felt that the most difficult part is stepping-out of one's comfort zone (even to meet thoughtful like-minded people who share mutual interests, concerns, etc.)
