Still banned from pink, being a weeb, among other things but these 2 the most.

My girlfriend loves pink & she's 42. She's been told liking pink that much as an adult is wrong or something along those lines or worse but she likes what she likes. She likes other various things adults aren't supposed to like & that doesn't bother me any. That said, I can understand developing a hatred of something because of being teased for liking it or having negative assumptions & stereotypes applied for liking it.

BTW Aerosmith did a song about loving pink :D

I'm not fond of pink myself, though I don't know why. I've always liked red, in the right place at the right time, and pink is only red with a bit of white in it.

My house interior has salmon pink doors and woodwork - it was previously owned by Muslims and apparently they have a penchant for the colour. I've tolerated it for decades because I'm too busy or lazy to repaint it, it's endured physically very well, and as it's been there so long I don't really notice it any more.

I went through a rather stressed phase at work at one time, and there was a pamphlet from the Sigma Chemical Co. on my pile of papers that was a somewhat tasteless medium pink colour. At first I just thought it was rather naff visually, but when I kept seeing it first thing every morning, I got to the point where it would really hack me off. Why I didn't just put it out of view, I don't know. And I don't know whether it was the actual colour or whether it was just symbolic of the way my life was going round in a tedious circle.

Like I say, I don't know why I dislike pink. It's just a visceral thing with no logic to it.

I don't think this thread was started as ragebait. I wouldn't have thought colour preferences could easily do that to sane people. Though I'm still kind of freshly surprised when any WP discussion ever turns hostile. I shouldn't be, knowing how religion and politics can set some insecure people off, but pink? Really? As far as I'm concerned anybody can love or hate pink as much as they like. As long as they don't expose me to an awful lot of actual pink. Even then, I'm not likely to forget I'm a gentleman.

I despise pink ever since I was told I can't like it because they think I'm "high functioning" and need to give up childish things. I feel nausious seeing it like I want to vomit. I even refuse to wear my very, very few pink clothes (who's ever seen pink adult clothes?) or anything that has a spot of pink on it, and I get in trouble when I do. (my shoes are also pink and I can't replace them) I used to really hate green, it's still something I avoid but back then I DESPISED it, but now pink has surpassed green as my most hated color. I want to be goth (or namely, I want to start with being scene) and I wish I had more dark clothes and makeup.

If you feel ill when you see a specific color it’s likely either connected to a bad experience in your life and/or it’s due to an abusive psychological ‘reprogramming.’ Many people on the autism spectrum are science experiments without even realizing it. I’ve been fighting and documenting this most of my life. It is a form of mental manipulation to control behavior.

The human response to the color pink is reprogrammed by these institutions to censor thoughts of youth, gender, and sexuality. Since people on the autism spectrum are a vulnerable population they can be easily influenced. This is not okay.

Know that the colors themselves are neither good or bad unless they are associated with something that influences your perception of them.

I was told many times over the years by different people that pink is too girlie to wear. As an adult people have suggested that pink represents LGBTQ+ community.

I wear pink proudly. I don’t give a f—k if they don’t like it.

I'd love a pink Miata or 240SX or FR-S/86.
