I read Darwin had severe social-phobia. He had anxious meltdowns often when he exposed his views. Im not sure if its aspie-related thought.

Nobody has picked up on my vote for Walt Disney yet so here goes...
The Walt we saw on his TV show was no more the real Walt than the hippos on the Jungle Cruise were real. He was an actor, and had a very carefully constructed image he wanted to present publicly. In reality he was very driven, constantly working, demanding, perfectionistic, and wildly creative. His workers were constantly trying to catch up with what he was designing. He was a difficult boss, one of his longtime animators said that over the course of his career he got exactly three compliments on his work. These were told to him by someone else, as in "Walt liked how you drew that." He never tried to handle the money side of the business, that was done by his brother Roy who was an NT genius at financing projects. Walt was married once, had two adopted daughters, and I dare you to find a picture of him hugging his wife. Or even standing next to his wife. Not that he disliked her, he was too interested in the next project he was creating. He had few close friends, but never held a grudge-people would leave to work for another studio, and be welcomed back later. He was almost always frustrated that his Imagineers couldn't reproduce what he had designed in his mind. He also kept the glory for himself, not giving the Oscars to the chief animator of the movie. He supposedly told one who complained that the Oscar was on display, and he could go look at it any time he wanted to.

If we can have fictional famous aspies, then I reckon Lisa Simpson is a definite.

And Snoopy, I think you're spot on with David Byrne.

Reading a biography about her and Barbara Stanwyck might be a possible Aspie.

no idea who the rest of them are,but technically Temple cannot be aspie, she is HFA,unless they eventually change the def. of aspergers to allow significant speech delays, she's a kanners HFAer.

Einstein is the same as well,he would not have been diagnosed aspie with his long speech delay.

Maybe you don't really understand that most people who were visionaries, anti-comformists, and gave human kind either their inventions, their knowledge, their special interest, etc. were all Aspies. Why you will ask? Because that is what being an Aspie is.

We are the ones that push human kind forward into its cource of evolution, because of our ability to see details, our incredible imagination in forming images of a possible solutions, we can bring these ideas into the now either by writing about them, either by filming them, either by composing them, either by inventing something.

That is why we were created and placed here on this world, on this Earth, on this 'wrong' planet. You don't get it do you? We are the force that envisions all possible futures and those of us who conquer fear long enough to put their ideas into practice realize that they end up famous (whether while still alive of after their death).

Jesus Christ was an Aspie, too. He did not conform to existing laws, he spoke of equality, he did not separate people into rich or poor but saw all one and the same, was not interested in riches, or fame but to geniunly help others, he was bullied, he was tortured and he was killed for what he believed in... I guess you forgot the most important of the Aspies. Oh, and Abraham was one, too and Noah, and many more. The world is full of Aspies. Those who think that the epidemic is a phenomenon of the current last years they have no clue of what they are talking about. All these research to find why our mind is 'defective' and can't do the socializing that the normal brain does is a lot of BS.

What if I told you that the NT mind is the one that is defect and that the Aspie brain was here first??? That the industrial revolution was the cause of a malfunction that gave birth to what we now know as the NT brain? What if they are the abnormal with their exaggerated need to socialize which is only a cover up of the fear they feel, and growd with each othet like a herd to survive, what if I told you that the Aspie mind was here first because the Aspie mind is the brain of the hunter, the preditor? What if I told you that it is you, us, that have the true potential but it was taken from us, as the land was taken from teh Native Americans? What if I told you that teh epidemic we now face is the awakening of the hunters? That one day the NT brain will become obsolite and useless?

Welcome to the 21st century.

This an absolute lie. Tony Attwood has NEVER diagnosed neither Renne nor Nicole. According to him he has never even met them!

How do I know? I asked Tony himself, since I know and have contact with him.

There's a huge difference between being an aspie and being eccentric. One out of 250 is estimated to be an aspie. I'd say that at least one out of ten NTs are eccentric as well.

Diagnosed aspies or HFAs:

Courtney Love
Bill Gates
Steven Spielberg
Dan Aykroyd
Vernon Smith
Daryl Hannah
Craig Nicholls
Keanu Reeves
Woody Allen

Self-diagnosed aspies or HFAs:

Bram Cohen
Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands is also a perfect example of an aspie)

People who are assumed by many journalists, therapists, scientists (and so on) to be aspies:

Ludvig Van Beethoven
Wolgang Amadeus Mozart
Albert Einstein
Henry Ford
Henrik Ibsen
Charles Darwin
Emily Dickinson
H.P. Lovecraft
Mark Twain
Lewis Carroll

I think that it would propably be confidential information, if someone 'famous' as you say was indeed diagnosed by Tony. I would also not ask him such a question as it is between him and his patients.

Concerning Britney I really don't know, but she does seem to have many AS traits. I don't follow much of their private lives as I don't read such magazines or watch such TV programs.

Also, what does it matter if she is or not? If you are trying to see how many famous people have AS to see what are your chances of becoming famous one day, then I feel you are going about this the wrong way.

Instead of looking at what others do, why don't you look inside you. I know as you very well know that there is a voice inside you that is trying to tell you what your path in this life is. Maybe out of fear or disbelief you choose not to listen not to admit that you could have such an ability, such a 'sense.' Yet, when you relax your mind, you see it all before you as if you can see into the future. Then you dismiss what you see telling yourself you will never be able to do any of these things, these dreams you have. What a pity...

Instead of dismissing this sense, why not take it seriously and seek the path you need to follow, (= education, work, write a book, make a tape with your songs, whatever it takes) to make it happen?

Look carefully, and you will see that your sense, your inner instinct will guide you well once you overcome your fear.
