I enjoy being out in the rain on a warm summer day. I look forward to opportunities to do so.

I wear glasses, so in order to prevent rain from getting on the lenses, I use either an oversized hood or an umbrella.

No, I find it really impractical to use umbrellas and I don't mind getting wet, so I usually just get wet in the rain.
If it's cold enough that I want to avoid it, I'll wear a rain coat. They get clammy though, so preferable nothing.

I don't get on with umbrellas at all, but I'm still happy to walk miles in any weather - it's my primary form of transport. I don't like to have anything in my hands when I'm walking, and I find them fiddly and clumsy. More often than not, gusty winds accompany the rain here, too. I can't walk at my natural pace when I'm trying to use one, either (overtaking "joggers" is not unusual once I hit my stride.) I don't like being around other people that are using them either - the combination of pointy metal and folks obscuring their vision to keep the rain off their faces makes me very uneasy.

I don't really like being wet, but I'd rather be wet than carry an umbrella, it's annoying and I really don't like to have to carry stuff. I'd rather just wear a coat. Isn't that what hoods are for anyway?

Do not like walking in the rain with an umbrella. It doesn't stop shoes from getting wet.

If it's raining, one wrong step and it's wet shoes for a day

Sometimes stepping from the sidewalk to the crosswalk, involves stepping in puddle

Umbrellas keep breaking and turning inside out

Often a good is better

I like using an umbrella because it keeps raindrops off my phone screen.

I rather not use an umbrella because I'll get almost as wet using one as not using one & I'll have to hold it & have it nearly blow out of my hand cuz of the wind. I much rather not walk in the rain than walk in it thou.

I hate umbrellas and crinkly raincoats.
I like walking in the rain though, it smells good and the sunlight is filtered by the clouds.
I DO NOT like having wet clothes or hair though afterward.

I love it in the summer when it rains and I have shorts on (if it's a hot day). Rainwater is good for your skin and it feels nice to feel it on my legs.

But unfortunately wearing shorts in the rain is apparently socially unacceptable, I don't know why. Often when I've wanted to go out in shorts when it's hot but raining, people express disapproval, like saying, "you'll look silly going out in shorts when it's raining".

Says who???

Where I live in the Pacific Northwest during the spring and summer many people wear shorts and a t-shirt no matter how much it's raining.

I don't mind. But people around me are so fussy about it.

I don't mind light rain, rain shower, monsoons, or heck even category 4 storm if I could get away with it. I could barely care about walking around soaked even in a public crowd.
At worst just being cold is all -- that's the only thing I have to cope with.

I prefer proper rain gear and a hat to an umbrella.

I have major sensory issues with getting wet (or feeling even remotely damp), wearing wet clothes, and the feel of raindrops hitting my skin, so unless it's only misting and I'm wearing a coat or something, I always use an umbrella.
