I don't think one day of normal would be enough to be a fair comparison.
But then I took the blue pill, shoulda tried the red one...;)

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

Autism Speaks will NEVER speak for me

I know this family (family friends) who are normal. MY GOD ARE THEY BORING. I CAN'T DO SH*T WHEN I'M AROUND THEM IN FEAR OF INSULTING THEIR NORMAL WAYS. I no longer have to go to their house, thankfully.

I'd try it - for the curiosity.

If I were to try it just for a day, I would ask to do this away from anyone I know in case I confuse them greatly.

I had a job interview about a month ago, for a job involving a subject which I know more about than anyone I've ever met seemed to know of any subject. That includes the two people who conducted the interview.

I think I answered the last two questions in a way they didn't like.

The first of the two questions was "Think about a time you've had a conflict with a co-worker. How did you resolve it?" And I answered truthfully: "I've never had any real conflict with a co-worker." In the thousand times I've replayed that in my head since then, I realized that they probably didn't like this answer. But I don't understand why an employee who resolves his conflicts well is a better employee than one who tries to avoid conflict in the first place.

The next question was "How would your friends describe you?" When they asked this, I don't think they realized they were asking an essay question. ;)

Such a pill would have been useful on that day. But I don't think I would want to take it otherwise or if the effects were permanent.

It would be interesting to see what it would be like to be 'normal' for a day, see what I learnt different to what I have learnt being AS.

I don't need to back away from answering this question like i think some people might. To try for a day out of curiosity is not selling out, if that is what some people might come up with.

I am betting there would be NTs that would do the reverse for a day to see what being ND is like.

I wouldn't need to take it.

I'm already seen as an eccentric, bright, abnormal little spud of an NT by my peers so...

Besides, my depression wouldn't go away, and I'd be exactly the same all the way through the day. :D

I'd try it just out of curiosity. How do NTs see the world?

Exactly what I was thinking. I would just want to see how they live for one day.

...them... XD
