Exactly. Chess is a battle. Go is the whole war.
What is Go? I love Mah Jongg. I was in a chess club a very, very long time ago. I’ll risk the wrath of true chess players, but I found the game to be too regimented. Every move has been done and bears the name of the genius who first used it. And each of those moves seems to demand that it be followed by a specific (named after someone) move. I know it’s much more than that and I have met some brilliant players, but I am stuck with that youthful perception.
I think you would enjoy the game of Go, Anne.
The game of Go from WikiThanks for the link and the other information. It does sound very interesting. It’s nice that it has a handicap system. I need to find someone to play it with. I saw there are some apps for it. Maybe there’s a computer/human version.
When I was little I used to play checkers with my grandfather all of the time. Im sure he let me win at times, but he loved setting me up too. I think he would have liked Go. He was illiterate, taken from school to go to work, but he was sharp!
