Yes but there is usually a difference between the rhetoric used by real groups and parodies of them. I mean come on "Female Liberation Front". Many times i have spotted on the internet stuff that other people seemingly take in but smells a bit fishy to me and I turn out right, I must be wise beyond my years.

Some feminist groups these days seem to be about trying to grant greater rights as opposed to equal rights. Argueing for late abortions and pressurising courts to let women go free when they have killed men, saying that the women are pushed into it without possibly knowing that is the case. I find some race campaigners are the same, they should really learn to pick their battles instead of acting like the very people they so claim to oppose, bigots.

once again, i agree with you, eamonn (what is it about this agreement thing? are you starting to talk sense at last? wink, pokey-out tongue face).

that sort of behaviour treats people as a group once again, and is no better than bigotry. and, apart from anythng else, it really is bad PR - if you want to persuade people to listen to your argument, attacking them is most definitely not productive.

having said which, there is a case to be made for shouting to get attention, initially. and then the dialogue gets going. and i don't blame people for wanting to shout a bit after centuries of oppression, but, again, it's about going to where the other person is, and listening as well as yelling.

Q. What's more annoying than a troll?
A. A smug troll!

Didn't want to get involved too much in this but.

To make things worse, these radical groups end up threatening the lives of people they say they want to protect also. Some more so than the targeted enemy.

I think we are in agreement here but id like to point out that theses groups of people werent around for centuries and neither have i been so they arent gonna make me feel bad about existing. My dad is Irish but doesnt go around expecting every British person to bow down at his feet for forgiveness over the occupation of Ireland (still ongoing in the north might i add).

Trolling is very fun. A troll can graduate to a semi-coherent attention-seeker, like myself.

I was prepared to give credence to the OP because the internet is liberally scattered with all manner of strange rantings and half-baked 'pseudo-science' 'theories'.

Perhaps I was softened up to some extent by the ASPartners site, where there are angry posters diagnosing entire neighbourhoods, including other people's children.

Over-generalise on a set of behaviours, stick a label on it, and it can be used as a stick with which to beat someone.

Even the 'scary' labels such as 'schizophrenic' or 'psychopath', that have been appropriated by Hollywood and Suspense writers, were never meant as value judgements in and of themselves. They just got used that way, because they became convenient labels.

It also has to be said that popular perceptions of what these labels actually mean are wildly divergent from how the terms are used in a clinical setting. There is a vast difference between the colloquial and the clinical.

Now, since you spotted the troll so well, I'll admit to my dirty little secret: You're right! I fabricated this whole article and organization whole cloth. The Female Liberation Front is a stereotypically extremist feminist organization with a patently anti-male agenda, playing loose with scientific theories to support their worldview. In this case, I used Simon Baron-Cohen's systemizing (male) brain theory as the base. I then took the stereotypical bad guy (the psychopath) and actually described him instead.

So, you are saying that you are not only a troll, but a liar as well. You not only lied about the story, but you lied when you said your source is offline. You undermine the personal security that honest people have on this site. Now that you have admitted to your own ignorant behaviour it would be the most foolish of fools to ever believe anything you ever say again. You are a liar. If you will lie about one thing, you will lie about anything. You have lied to all of WP and that is not what this place is about.

There have been times when certain things you have done made me feel like I do not want to be here anymore, but now I see. I am not the one that doesn't belong here. You are. You owe everyone an apology and you if you can't be honest (which probably won't matter anymore, once you have lied nothing you say will be believable anymore) then you should find some other site to stir up trouble on. Just my opinion.

A joke is not a lie. It was meant for fun and for arousing discussion. A lie is meant to deceive for personal gain.

Non sequitur. Just about everyone has lied before; that does not mean you can trust no one. I owe no one an apology for exercising my creativity. In all honesty, you are upset too easily. This is just the Internet, not the be all and end all of existence.
