No way, that's totally normal...
I've had a friend who is very popular at school, goes clubbing every Friday, is on top of the honor roll, AND obsesses over Barbies! (not in an aspie way, of course, but she collects them at home and puts them on display in her room)

I played with my Barbies at age 12, doing talent shows and fashion shows and stuff with them. I think I still did at age 13 too. And I want some Barbies (the cheap kind from the $1 store would be fine) to play with now and I'm 21 (and closer to 22 than to 20)! I want to put unique styles on them and do their hair in unique ways and put them on display.

I still like barbies, especially dressing them up. I'm also still into Pokemon, Batman TAS, Batman Beyond, Ducktales, many childish interests, and I'm 21. Still quite young, but mentally/emotionally, I'm like...maybe 9 or 10. Younger, even.

Dont feel embarrassed. 28 (almost 29) and I still fidget with Legos, Transformers, various Gundam models, Exosquad and still watch related cartoons. Your childhood is a part of you and to not lose it is a gift. We can literally look at everything with fascination and curiosity. Shoot, an engineer with this trait could build/design any of these things that fascinated them in the past and make it real . . . how else do you think we managed to make satellites, robots/robotic equipment, space shuttles, etc. Nothing would be more fascinating than watching your toys come to life in some way.

I play games too (Part of the "Wolfenstein" and "Doom" era, the original PC gamers  ). I just think of it as my toys having evolved. Instead of posing them, i get to move around as them.

So do I. I always check to see what movies are on.
I don't know why but I always want to watch Suite Life on Deck.

Nope. Plenty of people (even in their 60's) collect them and practically worship them. However, you still playing with them might appear strange to some people. I don't think it's strange because if adults play warhammer, they might as well play with barbies.

Besides, it can't be weirder than what I saw the other day. The other day, I was on the bus and as I was passing a neighborhood, I saw on someone's mantelpiece a collection of dolls of fictitious and non fictitious serial killers. Now THAT'S just plain weird (I mean, to have them on display, facing passers by at the window like that).

Not that I think that a fascination with serial killers is wrong (I'm fascinated with serial killers). I just think that it's a bit weird to display these gory dolls of them in front of pedestrians (then again, great way to get rid of unwanted people).

I'm 21 and still have many childish interests. One of my biggest obsessions is the Jim Henson show "Fraggle Rock", which is for children. I love how happy the episodes and songs make me and find the world of it fascinating, and while it's not an interest I share with others it's not something I want to "grow out of". I don't even really get what "adult" interests are, at my age it seems to mean getting drunk at parties, watching awful reality TV shows and being interested in guys and gossip. No thank you, I'll stick with my singing muppets.

Do what makes you happy; a lot of people lose the ability to get joy from simple, childish things when they grow up, which I think is more unfortunate than having a few childish interests.

I still like Barbies at 24 but I don't play with them. I don't have room for them anyway. Instead I have other childish things in my apartment like coloring books, Happy Meal Toys, kid games, Knex, baby toys, video games, stuff animals, Sega Pico, and children videos.

Jim Henson is awesome. Nobody is too old for Jim Henson.

I like video games, and I collect Transformers( the Binaltech/Alternators line). They are 1/24th scale so they match up with my plastic models on my shelves
