During the month I turned 14. I was glad that an explanation was found for my odd behaviors.

I was 31 when I found out, and 32 or 33 when I was actually diagnosed.

27 seems to be my year.
Found out about AS in the last month of my 26th year,
saw that it fit me like a glove,
and I am seeking out diagnosis this year.
Hopefully I can get one.

27...
it works mathematically, aesthetically, historically, metaphorically....
makes sense to me anyways :)

I was 4 years and 10 months old when I was diagnosed. This was over 32 years ago.

Why be a label, be yourself and keep others guessing instead.

I don't know if I have an official diagnosis or not but, approximately one week before I signed up on WP, at age 36, my psychologist suggested that I look up AS. I was shocked at how well the description fit me - it was an absolute epiphany so, I fully accepted it. A depression I'd had since age 9 was finally over.

That's the way I see it, and it works for me!

I got the diagnosis at age 33.
Sure explains a few things about the previous 33 years.
Still working on resolving a few of them though.

I was 46 when I was formally diagnosed as AS. Forty years ago, I was tentatively diagnosed with "childhood schizophrenia," though my parents put a stop to the school district doing any more testing on me.

I always thought 12, but recently mum mentioned 11. So I guess I was 11. It was some time in 2000 anyway.
