^Exactly.

The South is a bad place for Aspies overall. That's why most of the cities I listed as "worst cities for Aspies" are all Southern cities.

However most of the cities I listed for "best cities" are either a) Canadian cities, and b) West Coast or Northern cities. Why is that?

One word. Culture.

Well I was kinda of thinking is the LA area a great place for Aspies as well? I used to think it might be, but from what I've heard it's usually filled with rich snobs (who are probably as bad as southern rednecks) and ghetto people, never anyone in between.

We get stereotyped a lot. People confuse us with Orange County and Beverly Hills because of shows like OC (the rich snobs) and think of ghetto, because we have a few bad areas just like any big city.

LA is extremely diverse. I grew up in the suburbs 3 blocks from a hiking preserve, my neighbors are all rocket scientists employed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory 10 minutes away, and my dad plays in the Philharmonic.

We have culture here. Los Angeles >>>>>> orange county. Never, ever, ever confuse the two ;)

And also, we pioneered an art form and that's kinda cool. So many interesting jobs here revolve around that industry. I met one aspie who knew everything there was to know about film lighting, he was fun to talk to.

When it comes to the U. S., I think in most cases the west coast is the best coast.

Yeah it's one of them. Along with Canada and UK.

I don't know about Canada - if Michelle Dawson is anything to go by.

Well I dunno about that, but so far Canada tends to be more accepting of Aspies than the U.S. in my opinion.

I thought Utah was.

Nah, Utah is 3rd, Texas is the most religious, then it's Alabama.

Never been to New York, but since I was 10 years old I liked it because it sounded so STIMULATING, and I'm that kind that needs stimulation.

Nice was stimulating, but then I wasn't there very long. Florence, same thing. London-- cold, wet, dark and depressing. But other than that, really stimulating. Paris-- stimulating from what I saw, which was hardly anything! It was rainy and dark and depressing there too the day I was there. Vancouver-- wet, dark, depressing. Edmonton-- dark, depressing. Montreal-- stimulating, but since I lived there for almost my whole life, nah, you know? Houston? Never even been out in the city yet, really. Brockville, Ontario (little town city)? Gets boring/understimulating fast, wouldn't stay there more than 2 weeks. Munich-- stimulating. Koln-- stimulating. Rome-- stimulating. I want to go back!

Ya Edmonton sucks in the winter, its very dark and depressing, but the summers are great, and the parks are big and more natural then most of the cities in north america. I live in calgary, and its the most depressing city to live in, you need a car to get anywhere, its dirty and polluted, then they get the chinook winds in the winter, so it warms up and gets slushy and I get a migraine. I would prefer a smaller town, like in Salmon Arm BC, its very aspie friendly.

Is there something about Salmon Arm that makes it desirable to other towns in BC?

Someone tell me their opinion of Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada

had my first trip to the peg last december, not a very attractive city, the downtown core is decaying badly, looks like alot of people out of work, it was good to leave the next day, Now I didn't see all of the town, just the main streets and the airport, I am sure there are some nice things there to.

I went to Gulf Shores a couple of years ago, and I found it to be quite diverse. I found Gulfport, MS to be the same way.

Also, keep in mind that all major cities have liberal enclaves.
