If I'm not mistaken, Austrailia is where the British sent a lot of their "criminals" (social deviants).

Many who came to North America were economically disadvantaged (couldn't find a good job), were ostracized in their communities, or otherwise didn't fit in. They could start over in America. Sounds a little ASD to me.

I'm wondering if it comes from a certian ethnic group. Like Cystic Fibrosis found in scandinavians. Scientist believe that cystic fibrosis had an evolutionary advantage in the cold weather. Or sickle cell found all over the world in Greece, parts of Africa, India and other places with alot of maleria. Sickle cell protects against malaria. Or red hair Coming from descendents of vikings who invaded parts of Europe.

actually I think red hair is a Celtic trait and may have come from the Irish women captured during Viking raids, you see alot of redheads in Iceland, Danes were darker haired, Swedes were blond

Maybe. I know Eric the Red had read hair (obviously).
Do the Basques of France have red hair?

I am not to sure if they had a great abundance of redheads, but the inhabitants of Britain and Ireland are closely related to the Basques, and they of course have lots of redheads. I am going to have to ask my sister who's done a little more research on that area of france, as my family tree on the on the Pepin side, has some roots in the western pyrenees.

I just wanted to point out that red hair is also commonly found among Jewish populations. I once read somewhere that during World War II, in certain parts of Europe, red hair was considered a telltale sign of Jewish heritage.

I've read that red hair is a trait left-over from the caveman; as is AS.

I could find that study for you if you like.
