I am messy. But I think order looks appealing. Yet chaos feels more cosy and at ease ..

I am tidy in my own sense. What is tidy to me, is a mess to other people. I have three to five books on top of one of my bookshelves, my hairbrush never gets put away, as I use it every day, my shoes on the floor, just in case I decide to wear them, etc. Yet it feels like...order to me.

I use to be pretty neat until i met bf who was sloppy. No matter how much i cleaned, he would just throw his crap around. I gave up. It wasn't worth the arguements. Then i had a kid and everything went down from there.

Now, i just get so overwhelmed by what i need to clean. I have to do small sections at a time. Or one room at a time.

anyone who knows me would say i'm messy. my room always has things laying around on the ground, on the bed, etc. but to me, i always know where to find things. its when i try to "clean up" that i misplace things.

one friend said it is odd that i'm so messy, but my clothes are organized by the color spectrum. LoL

recently, i've been trying to keep my room neater, since my friend, now ex-boyfriend, and my parents seem to freak out over it so much.

i have chronic problems with being tidy, and wondered how common this is?

stuff on chairs, all surfaces covered, stuff on the floor.. it does annoys me sometimes, but i quite often dont 'see it'.

same here,
i just call it a "different sense of order" because like many aspies i have photographic memory so i don't need to organize things in order to remember where they are so why waste the time and effort.

I agree with this. If I know where everything is what is the point to put it all away neatly. Also, if someone else cleans up for me then I end up losing all my stuff.

I have organized mess...

-I may have piles of clothes, but one is clean and the other dirty.
-I keep certain things in each desk drawer... even though it looks like a tornado passed through and I have to dig to find something. But at least I know it'll be in there. :p
-My floor doesn't have stuff thrown over it... but I really need to sweep. ): And dust my tv.
-And my closet goes hoodies->tank tops->t-shirts->long sleeves
-Dresser drawer goes underpants->bras in front, bandannas and gloves and etc. behind->socks... but nothing is folded ): though I pair my socks together,
