No, I'm a slow walker. Especially if I'm with a group; I prefer being behind people, herding them in a sense. Plus I'm always looking at everything and everyone, so I have to walk slow to soak up the details of my enviorment.

when i was younger i couldnt stand the fact people were so slow. but for some reason now i am quite slow, i like how you said that you walk behind a group kind of like herding them as i think thats a behavior of me, i am also one of the slowest eaters i know.

I always walk fast, slow is boring. I also go the wrong direction like 70% of the time. Walking fast helps with that.
I suck at running though, get tired out too fast.

Part of it is that I use walking to get from one place to another, and I don't see why it should be done slowly. I want to get where I'm going, and it annoys me to be stuck behind slow-walking people. I actually find it uncomfortable to walk slowly.

I'll second that.
Thanks for writing it so effectively for me. ^_^

Mary-Jane Crocs (NOT the original style Crocs) are absolutely wonderful! They look relatively decent, and they are heavenly comfortable. And easy to clean, as well.

But when I do not wear my crocs, I wear my four-inch heels! Walking fast, and tall! Actually, I do it just to show people that I can. To prove those high-heel-haters wrong!

every autie and aspie am have ever lived with were all fast walkers.
both dad and sister are the same [both aspies], and even though am have a CP like condition in left leg which makes am move very jerky/wonky,am always been restrained back because no one can keep up.
am hate being told slow down, because someone in the group is a slow walker',well for am it's natural to walk fast, just like walking slow is for them,so as hard as it is for them to speed up,as hard it is for am to slow down, its like if are a slow walker its natural and cant be helped, but if are a fast walker its always done on purpose?
its stupid.

I've always been a fast walker too. Long legs - long strides. People who walk with me complain often that I'm walking too fast.

I'm 6'3" with disproportionately long and well-developed legs. I used to run, have played DDR steadily for half a decade, am ex-military, and I walk EVERYWHERE - for an entire day sometimes. So yeah, I tend to take my full stride, and I get impatient behind slow people. Skywalks and malls are the worst. :o

If you and your friends are ambling along at a snail's pace, side by side... kindly leave SOMETHING resembling a passing lane, or at least keep an eye out. Thanks! :D

I JUST came ffrom Wal-Mart! And I must say that your observations also apply to my area as well. People seem very fond of parking their carts SIDEWAYS across the aisle so it blocks the whole walkway and there's no way you can pass.
People just stand in the middle of the aisle, small-talking, and god-forbid you politely say, "Excuse me, could you please move your cart so I can get through?" Then they get all huffy and either move their cart while mumbling, or they're rude enough to just stubbornly stand there and not budge at all!
It is just sooo frustrating! That's why I always make sure to park my cart along the side, to at least leave a passing lane.

I walk fast most of the time, too.
