On my mom's side, apparently I am related to this guy..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_Turner
He is supposedly a second or third cousin...likesay my great grandmother's sister's kid...or something...

My last name is Dvorak (with the little accents)..and though i can make no documented claim to being related either to Antoinine or the guy who invented the Dvorak keyboard, I do have alot of musicians and inventors in my family, and there is a bit of a resemblance between my dad and Antoinine...though that may be somewhat deliberate..you can sorta see it in the eyes......he sells pianos and the name works well for him..

My Grandmother once told me that she had traced back her family tree and found that John Chapman was on it. He is more commonly known as Johnny Appleseed.

Ullysses Grant(the guy on the 50 dollar bill)...I don't know how I'm related to him, but my dad told me we're related to him...so in some way we must be.

tangent- I think my dad has asperger's...and even my mom too. They both have strong aspie features...quite varied from one another though..lots of other relatives of mine have asperger's features as well...lots and lots.

My family is also related to Robert the Bruce, King of Scots (also according to my dad, genealogist extraordinaire)...which is the ancestral relation I am most proud.

I find one of my great great aunts absolutely fascinating but she's not famous to anyone except me...but for what it's worth, and in her memory..Harriot Savage Chase. My dad tells me tales of all of our closely related and distantly related relatives and ancestors. My great great (great?) grandfather, throughout his life had remembered a dream he had vividly depicting a place there was buried treasure...which he obsessed about in waking life until he was old and dying and set out to follow the directions from that dream. He never found any treasure but his journal entries during that time are incredible..and very intelligible. Asperger's perhaps? (ok, and maybe a little delusional, but it's good for character lol)

I have an ancestor on my mom's side who was a rodeo clown, and actually turned down the gig to become the first Ronald McDonald. On my dad's side, the family had a ranch and toll road for the mountains in the San Bernardino, CA area over a century ago. He was nicknamed "Shotgun" because he enforced the tolls with a shotgun. My great-grandpa allegedly survived the 1918 flu epidemic by drinking enough whiskey to pass out when he got sick.

I might be related to Cliff Richards, as a distant cousin, but I am not entirely sure.

OK, don't kill me, but I'm descended from the Dutch settlers who traded Manhattan for some beads, with the Indians. New York was called New Holland then. I am also descended from Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, or Holland, or whatever. Apparently, my relatives were in court trying to get it back as recently as about 100 years ago.

There must be many, many people descended from the Queen.

An ancestor on my mother's side by the name of William Frederick Hulley, who lived in the second half the 19th century, played first violin in an orchestra, was a musical director and composed two comic operas: The Coastguard and The Rustic .

Ye gods; I'm descended from just about half the founding fathers of America...
Directly descended from John Alden, the "first American", I believe I heard tell - btw I look exactly like him. Spitting image!
My ancestor founded Boston...
I can trace my ancestry back to English knights in 1000 AD.
Descended from a lot of generals, scientists, lawyers and diplomats.
Many ancestors who fought against the English in the American Revolution. Including one who scuttled his fleet to deny them to the English, and led his men back overland. He had ten ships, the English had one hundred. Smart move. I don't recall the specifics...

we may be related then.

I was recently shown all the relatives that are famous and I am still in disbelief. How can we have this many relatives that are famous?

The most famous would be John F. Kennedy on my grandfather's side.

There is also a rocket scientist named Robert H Goddard (I think that's grandmother's side)

On my grandmother's side I think Bette Davis would be the most famous. That one doesn't surprise me because we have very similar eyes.
