that's really interesting. i'd never heard that before. it's kool to see a verse put in the context of the culture. :D

I am one.

I believe that all humans are sinful in nature as a result of Adam and Eve's sin in the Garden of Eden. We are all born into sin. God demands sinless perfection, and therefore we are separated from him at birth and through eternity. God is a just God, and demands blood atonenment for sin. He is also a gracious God, and sent Jesus to the earth to become the blood sacrifice in our stead. Thus, God satisfied his righteousness and demonstrated his graciousness in the same act. All we have to do is believe, repent of our sins, and give our lives over to God.

I believe in Jesus. But I read the bible under a jewish perpective. The books of Daniel, Isaiah and Joel caught me to assume He is the Machiah, righteous and speaks the truth. So I chose to be a Christian. But I try the most to accomplish the law, specially the kosher food which helps in my autism. OFF TOPIC, How can I eat a pig, an animal with 10 points of IQ it's higher than many dogs and cats breeds IQs. How can I eat an animal that has affection and intelingence and a heart phisiollogically similar to the human heart and there are studies associating pigs to pryons. So yes, I love Jesus, but I accomplish the law but placing love above all and keeping it in my heart.

also OFF TOPIC, but that reminds me of a pet talent show i once saw that absolutely disgusted me. so, this pig plays twinkle twinkle little star on this tiny piano... ok, this pig can freaking play the piano! ! and a dog who's "talent" was scooting it's butt across the floor won instead!! 8O it was absolutely disgusting that a dog won for doing something gross that all dogs can do, instead of such a talented pig!! just because it was a dog vs. a pig... stupid bias judges.... :x [/rant]

btw, i'm a vegitarian. :D

I only eat fish, omega 3. Sometimes. Fish is considered a primitive soul 0,03 IQ or less. I didn't want too, but you know it's necessary to help in my neurosynapses.

i get omega 3 through soy products. i've eatten tuna once.. it was really good. but.. that was when i was a kid and we were stranded in nowheresvile with a broke down car... and some nice people gave it to us because we were left penniless. since i was raised a vegetarian, i kinda grew up with it as a no-no type of thing.. like i might get in trouble if i ever ate meat. but.. i ate a hamburger once.. and got really sick. since my body's not use to meat, it can't handle it. it gave me a yeast infection, too... plus, i didn't like the taste.. so, i decided that i'd just stick to the veggi-meat. fish is ok, but i still don't eat it. but, sometimes people assume that i do, like, it's a dairy product or something... :? but.. meat is meat. if it was once alive, it's meat.

just as a side note, the majority of students at my school are vegetarians. on my campus, they don't even sell meat. they also don't sell alcohol, ciggerets (i think most colleges don't sell those...), coffee, or caffinated soda. we even have a health food store on campus. i guess it's no wonder Seventh-day Adventists have a life expectancy 6-9 years longer than the average american. :D but i think Jewish people eat pretty healthy, too.

unfortunately in Egypt healthy food is the last thing we would look at , due to the very high air pollution and political corruption which leads to poverty, and in poor countries, people think in surviving in any means necessary more than eating healthy food

one planet , different dimensions

yes you think of Egypt in its golden age, in those times we were the most powerful nation on Earth

we even were pretty good under the British colonization, but things started going from bad to worse since the revolution done by the army in 1952 , I call it the robbers revolution

they literally stole the country, and it became police and theocratic state ruled by islam, you may imagine what would happen for anyone oppose islam in public!! !

you may read what is happening to the Christians in Egypt here

http://www.persecution.org/suffering/co ... ntrycode=7

and you are right, surviving is very important part of being healthy

*raises hand*

Christian, non-denominational.

I am an un-diagnosed aspie. Until I learned about AS, I thought the stress, anxiety, insomnia, large amounts of isolation, and many other things, were just what I had to deal with in life. Now I have answers... answers to many questions and explanations as to things I have done or not done. I consider that a blessing. It is such a relief to understand myself better. I won't be seeking a formal diagnosis for I do not see the benefits for myself.

I hope you get a chance to make some friends here. There are some very nice people here and their personal stories and struggles can be very motivational.

Oh.. no, I don't blame God for this or anything else.

Ok here's one for ya'll. I can't tell you how many people believe we are the terminal the WWll generation is the terminal generation for Jesus' return to take all His followers to heaven. So what say any of you here about where we are on the world's timeline?

I've never heard about that. Who is saying that the WWII generation is the last one, and which reason do they have to believe it?

I don't believe it, but I believe that we human beings can't guess where we are on the world's timeline. Jesus himself said that noone knows the time when he returns, not even himself, only God the Father knows.

Do you consider yourself as a Messianic Jew then?

Yes, I'm a Christian. But I find a lot of the emphasis on love, relationships, community etc really hard, and find it difficult to understand some of the metaphors. It would be good to have a Bible for Aspies.
