Sometimes do you want to be like them(NTs), why?

I never want to be something that is unsustainable for me in the long-term. I tried this for fourteen years and imitation is sucicide. This led to a cataclysmic civil war which torn me to shreds and I never want to replicate that experience, all because I worshipped a neurotypical(who I still admire, but not worship).

I am just happy being myself, a lesson learned in blood, that's for sure.

My goal is not to become like anyone else. I just want to overcome some of the traits that limit me and continue to move forward. I have made good progress over the last few years, but still have a way to go.

Thank you Kelsi, that's nice to hear :) But if I had that NT magical power, I probably would've developed like my NT siblings. I think it's suffering that developed my compassion.

Looser? That was one of my nicknames!! ! Having a mother who read adult books at age 3 and aspie monossylabic father who lives inside a library, and a brother who played fixing tvs at age 5, made me become the looser for years, the "ret*d" and the "looser". I have a different conception of being a looser, I'd rather lose it all than dying alone. I don't want to pretend to be an NT anymore, I won't hide my autism, but I don't think they are loosers, just different people that don't make sense.

Nobody in my family is NT, most of them are ADHD/auties/aspies in general, eccentric, silly, but kind. Except my sister, she is an NT and had a normal development, she has diebets, does it count? 8O I love my family, we are the "Adams" of our street.
